at least someone picked up on it Laughing

The boundaries of the football field as well of the line of scrimmage is white lines...

I'm glad to see I am not the only one who knows what he was referring to Laughing

Yeah, I don't really get how someone could not get that. Confused

Please forgive me for not thinking about this in the literal sense. I saw the statement and thought it contridicted itself. Nothing more... nothing less. But, thanks for making a guys who obviously knows less about football than you do feel like an idiot.

Regardless, I want to watch football and I want Brees signed...soon!

You may be right, but the poor guy is in a tough spot right now- having to coach a troubled team suddenly deprived of accustomed leadership, and one that has lost players. That being the case I do not think it's fair or correct to pile on Joe Vitt right now.

Maybe good Saints' fans will get behind the team and the coach in this difficult time and provide some of the old Who-Dat support. They've never needed it more.

So, because I think Vitt is a bumbling idiot makes me a bad Saints fan? But, I see your point... although the forum is a place to voice concerns/opinions right?

I agree here. You can think that Vitt is an idiot, and be a good Saints fan at the same time.

Honestly, the ability to acknowledge when someone in the organization is an idiot probably makes you a better fan.

Wasn't trying to insult you in any way if I did. I just think some of you were over thinking it. Very Happy

Not at all...... the fact that you're on here, and posting, strongly suggests that you're a loyal and good Saints' fan. I have no doubt of that.

And you're absolutely right that an Internet Forum is indeed a place where differing opinions are appropriate and encouraged.

Mine happens to be that loyal fans should rally behind the Saints and their coach at this time. I wouldn't know Joe Vitt if I tripped over him, nor do know what kind of a head coach he'll turn out to be; but I do think he's got enough of a load to bear with the mess he inherited.

I'm not a Packers' fan but I always admired the way the people of GreenBay kept coming out to the games (cheese heads and all) and strongly supporting the team even through the Dark Ages they went through in-between the Lombardi and Favre eras.

I believe that you, and just about everybody on here, want the best for their team. Vitt may have pulled a political gaffe. He may not have been the best choice for interim coach during the suspensions. But he's here, and will be for the 2012 season.

We can't any of us make the draft picks or coach the players. The one thing a fan can give his team is unwavering support even in the worst of times. Joe Vitt may be in over his head, but I wish him and the Saints well in the coming season. Even with all the hits they've taken- whether the suspensions were justified or not- they're going to re-group and play the games. Not primarily a Saints' fan myself, but I'm hoping for them.
