Sounds pretty confident. We spent a lot of time with this guy. Wonder if he was the plan at NT all along. |
Does sound like a good guy to give a chance. Hope he can stick around at least on the PS. _________________

UDFA's confirmed.

Biggest surprise is Powell listed as S. Better chance for him there imo.
Most excited about Kurn, Carrier, Hamilton, and Nix. But all fairly solid pickups to compete.
Guys not announced that were rumored or tried out. I didnt think any of these 3 had a chance anyways.
Ralph Guidry, DT, Kansas State
Corey Gatewood, CB, Stanford
Darius Nall, DE, UCF (TRYOUT) |

Nall and WR Tray Sessions were only supposed to come for a tryout so it's not surprising they aren't announced yet.
Guidry and Brandon Rutley seem to be on tryouts as well. According to their twitter accounts, they're part of the camp.
Gatewood was in camp with the Vikings so i guess he changed his mind.
Two more UDFAs are reportedly in camp (most likely on tryouts).

I'd predict that Nix will make the final roster. But we'll see. _________________ Bah-Weep-Granah-Weep-Nini-Bong

Yup because a top 2 punter of all time definitely is on par with a role player or STer who probably won't be on the roster over 2 years. _________________

Not saying that. Saying we are paying too much for Punter. If we can get a decent one for the next few years why not. You dont know if you can find a good one once Lechler is done. Not to mention he always has to publicly give his opinion about everything. If we can no reason not too. Just because he is one of the best ever it shouldnt stop us from moving on. Its not like he is a QB or anything. I would rather have more money to win on the offense or defense than to hope a punter saves our team. |

I'd rather us use Lechler for a few more years before we move on from him. We should keep the Marquette guy around for a couple of years to be the heir to Lechler's throne haha. _________________ (MLB)=A's, (NFL)=Raiders, (NBA)= Warriors

I don't know what to make of this punter. On one hand, he's just a camp leg. On the other, he was the first reported UDFA signing and Lechler is counting more than 5M against the cap and is on his contract's final year.
I'd like to see Lechler end his career in silver and black but i wouldn't be shocked if McKenzie is ready to go another direction. |

I agree, not only that but it has been reported elsewhere that King would probably make a lot of rosters so why sign a good punter if he is just a camp leg, he wont stick on the PS if he is that good. I think Reggie's philosiphy will be more like GB. They dont punt that much and when they do its on a short field because they are efficient on offense. 5.6 mill cap hit is a lot. Especially when Seabass will have a 3.8 cap hit next season and our LS has a 1.7mill cap hit. At least Seabass' contract is somwhere in the ballpark of the other top kickers. |

Lelchler is gone this kid is the real deal and will make only a couple hundred thousand. 5 million is too much for a punter another over paid Al Davis favorite. _________________
