Just to try and stay positive, if this is the worst injury we get all year, than it isn't ALL bad. Meaning, every team generally loses 1-2 starters for an extended period of time. If this is the biggest injury we face than it isn't the worst case scenario. If we end up losing any other starter from our front 7, well then we would be screwed.

LOL!

What are the odds of our suffering no more significant injuries?

This year hasn't even started yet!!!

We really only lost 2 starters to major injuries last year. Steinbach/Ward (not really counting fujita, colt mccoy or pashos considering most people thought they were bums anyway and mccoy did play more than half the year, and Hillis was a headcase more than injured)

Just trying to stay hopeful.

B E A Utiful. Just what we needed before the season has even begun. At least there were no playoff expectations this year, but now that 6 game win expectation may be a little high.

FU for making the page to wide.

4-6 month injury. He will start on the pup llist. If he works hard at his rehab he should be back in October.
Gives us a chance to have a look at he rookies.

My glass is allways over flowing.

This isn't a crippling injury, if Taylor is out for the season. I really hope he recovers and can suit up, but if not, we'll be okay. It hurts our depth at defensive tackle, but they'll be okay. If they can get solid production out of one their rookies, they'll be just fine at defensive tackle. I'm interested to see how those guys do with more reps. Even though both Rubin and Taylor are solid, I always had the feeling last year that we needed a defensive tackle who can push the pocket more in the pass rush. Not to take anything away from Taylor, because he and Rubin are clearly our two best overall DT's. Something different at the position would be beneficial though. Hopefully the rookies can show to be that guy, next to Rubin in certain situations. If Rubin goes down now, we're screwed.

The only good news here is that it's the beginning of May. One of the reasons D'Qwell missed the whole season with his pec injury was that it happened in training camp (August).

Even if he gets surgery, and it's a 4-6 month recovery, he could still play most of the season. If it's a complete tear, I suppose the rehab could take longer, but all hope is not lost for this season for him. At least not yet.

Definitely a nice sig. But it does exceed Webby's site size limits. Here's a re-sized one for you:

The next person who says this makes the Hughes pick look good.........I am going to reach through the keyboard and smack you.
If it was a bad pick during the draft, its still a bad pick now.
We could have just gotten an undrafted free agent or any other free agent to fill a DT spot on the roster and provide the same "impact" as him.

I am not saying without a doubt Hughes was a bad pick..................but if ou thought it was bad before, then this taylor injury should not alll of a sudden make you think it's a good pick. That is called terrible logic.

Oh come on now....I seriously doubt your glass is always overflowing.

You would never let a single drop spill, would you? Wink
