Glad he didnt go to the Giants. I always liked the guy though, i still have the Sports Illustrated with him and Hank Fraley on the cover.

He had a good half decade of solid play for us in the middle of our line, but once he got hurt (iIrc it was an elbow/should/pectoral injury) he never returned to the same form. Best wishes to him for his life after football.

Surprised no one picked him up. Good player and great guy.

He tore his ACL, and in his 1st game back tore his peck, then became a backup because he didn't fit Mudd's scheme. Good player for us and glad he's walking away from the game right now.

He was a good player for us for a few years. Way better than Hank Fraley ever was.

Said his heart wasn't in it anymore.

At least he went out like a man and was honest instead of just trying to get every penny he could.

Good luck in the Next Phase of your life Jamaal. He was a solid player for us for awhile, and always came off as an extremely nice and likable guy too.....I'm sure he'll do well in whatever he chooses to do. From one 67 to another....thanks JJ. Wink

i like it when a player retires 'early'. shows they have respect for their bodies, and realize there are more important things in life. refreshing. good luck big man
