So every year there is one guy who is a stand out QB from a small school. This year's dude is Brad Sorensen. He spent a year at BYU (not sure if it was as a walk on or not though, everything I have seen only showed UConn offering him a scholarship out of high school) before transferring to a JuCo and later Southern Utah. Dude is big too. Reminds me a lot of the B.J. Coleman stuff from this year's draft. Either way I wanted to know what you guys thought of him.
Here the highlights of 2011: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jORMM1DxVPs
I think there was full game tape of one of his games but I got to look to find it. When I do I'll post it here. _________________
Drive off into the sunset, you brilliant bastard.
|

I don't know if you've seen the following article by Wes Bunting at NFP, but it is worth a read:

Now I haven't seen many Southern Utah games but one thing that the recent semi-successful non 1-A QB's (Flacco, Fitzpatrick, Skelton) have in common is that they excelled both statistically and in team record in their senior year.
Iffy junior years were fine - which Sorenson had (17 TD/11 INT and a 6-5 team record), but they all had great senior years. That's what he'll need to have to get into the All-Star games that will ultimately determine his draft stock. |
