Rob Gronkowski at #10 ? Ohhhhh-kaaay... |
it's a strange ordering on the list, but I think that's too low if anything. He came out to #5 on my personal top ten players in the league. |
Yeah, he's got like 27 TD his first 2 seasons in the league. He's unbelievable. _________________

All right. A TE can be in the top ten of all players in the league.
So then I don't want any of you mf'ers laughing the next time I pick Shannon Sharpe in the first round of my fantasy football league. _________________

Fantasy impact=/=real life impact
As far as I see it Gronk is probably the most dominant at his own position by the longest margin. That is why he is top 5 for me IMO _________________
Drive off into the sunset, you brilliant bastard.
|

No to mention how effective he is a a run blocker too. Most tight ends who are as good as him as a receiver are worthless in the run game (Gates, Gonzales, Finley, Graham, etc). He's a very complete tight end who has made Brady look much better than he actually is over the past two seasons and is probably the most valuable pass catcher in the NFL (even more so than Calvin).
And BSS, I would laugh at you for drafting Shannon Sharpe in fantasy because he retired over a decade ago. _________________

Just saw Silvertstein's tweet about retiring #4, and it got me thinking, who thinks #12 will be retired once Rodgers hangs 'em up? _________________

Wouldn't call Gonzo worthless in the run game. _________________ Top 50 Franchise Cornerstones (2012) - COMPLETED! |

I know that. It was a fr'instance and an inside joke on myself.
I was a thirty something with only a casual interest in Packers football running with a pack of twenty somethings who were total fanatics the first time I got into a fantasy league. Remembering what a stud he was, I picked Eric Dickerson in the first round...in 1991. They laughed. I actually did pick Shannon Sharpe in the first round in 1994. they laughed. I picked Kijana Carter in 1995 about 24 hours before he tore his ACL. They laughed hard.
Those guys were so sad when I left the league. They must have really liked me.
Gronk is good. Message received. _________________

I just saw that too. Pretty much confirmed that Rodgers is winning MVP this season too. _________________ GO PACK GO!

If there was any doubt, that clinched him winning MVP in my heart. _________________
