Iowa: Former Texas offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Greg Davis has accepted the same position at Iowa.

Thoughts?

I was hoping for Tom Moore, but I can live with Greg Davis. I know Texas fans don't think highly of him, but he did some good there.

Does it really matter though? Ferentz will build the offensive playbook exactly how he wants it. Davis won't have much say in that.

Pretty embarrassed that I've never thought of looking for a Hawkeyes thread in here

I like this
Quote:
Under Davis' guidance, Texas averaged 39.0 points per game in the last decade (2000-2009), which ranked second nationally and first among B.C.S. conference schools.

I think the offensive philosophy will be the same, but Davis will be able to put some wrinkles in the passing game.

Care to take a stab at what team is tied for most drafted players over the past 3 years?

Alabama - 18
Iowa - 18

Of course they are on slightly different levels. Of Bama's 18 players, 13 were drafted in round 1-3, while Iowa had 6.

Greg just picked up an un-stared QB out of Texas...he seems to be flying under the radar though...

I have a really good feeling about starting the year 5-0 heading into our game with Michigan State...but if Kirk loses 1 or 2 games prior....I dread to think of what the loyals will say (we play an FCS school, UNI, ISU, MINN, West Michigan to start the year).

For the most part, the usual Ferentz non-answers at media days. However, he did say Garmon will not be suspended.

Also, AIRBHG strikes De'Andre Johnson as he was charged with disorderly house.

Worst case: Hosting a party, but there was no tickets given out

Best case: They were playing video games/watching a movie to loud for their neighbors liking

Either way, it's minor and he won't be suspended for it.

First time I've looked at this year's schedule, holy crap we might be undefeated going into the Michigan game.
