Kelly has to agree to a redo. Branch has been working on a long term contract forever. Things aint really as easy as it seems. We are cap strung and Reggie is not going to make the mistakes are just moving money, and back loading or front loading bad deals. This salary cap isnt a real issue stuff is a myth. It is an issue.

It a real issue for a team that doesn't ALWAYS want to be labored by it's salary cap and constantly forced to overpay players to get under the cap. McKenzie knows that in order for a small market team to be perennial contenders they need to be fiscally sound.

Mike Jenkins wants a trade. Anyone else a little interested? Loved the kid coming out of the draft that year. I'd offer a conditional 5th with potential to become a 4th.

Imo, elite organizations are patient even when fans demand action. (ie: Lakers) Being reactionary as the Raiders have been in the past has put the organization in salary cap hell, uncompetitive and void of draft picks. Kicking and screaming, McKenzie will drag us all into the modern age of football. We wanted change, this is change. How do you like it?

I don't want to hi-jack this thread with Laker talk but the Gasol for CP3 trade was so good the commish squashed it. Unfortunately the mentally fragile Odom went sideways and refused to go back to work. Had everything gone off as planned the Laker show would have had both CP3 and D12 and not overpaid for either.

Rather than overpay for D12 the Lakers held their ground and will probably now acquire both for pennies.

DFish for Sessions was an excellent trade, imo.

Imo, the Lakers held their ground and refused to overpay once they offered fair compensation. I don't think exploring 3 moves was excessive for this particular team in need of re-composition.

Lakers was a bad example. I would have use the Spurs. Who pick up low cost players for nothing basically in their trades(Diaw, Jackson). And just draft very very well.

Oh I'm sure we can by cutting people like Lechler, Branch, etc people who are making too much money. Seems like McKenzie has wanted to get cap space for quite some time but can't seem to work the magic to fix what Al screwed up.
