2013 prospects I wouldn't mind in the first as of right now:

Tyler Wilson
Logan Thomas
Eric Reid
T.J. McDonald
Tony Jefferson
Xavier Rhodes
David Amerson
Dee Milliner
Bjoern Werner
William Gholston
Barkevious Mingo
Kawann Short
A really good OT

Can't really argue with that list I suppose.

I think the last thing we need is a defensive end, but I find Margus Hunt, and this defensive end class is particular, to be quite intriguing.

Quote:
Leading the list is SMU DE Margus Hunt. Hunt is 6'8" 280 with an 82" wingspan. He can also bench 225 35 times, which is ridiculous at that arm length. SMU track coach Dave Wollman predicts that Hunt will run a 4.6 40-yard-dash and bench 225 45 times at the combine next year.

And he's from Estonia, so the Europeans have something to root for.

I know he is a DE but I think Hunt could be a nasty DT for us. I hate to compare him to Cox in any sense but I think we could use him in the same way in game situations. DE on run downs and DT on passing downs. Just another "toy" for Juan and Washburn to play with.

Watching that video, it seems like he play a lot of 5 tech.

Really liking the avy/sig combination you've got there.

I'd like to see what Aaron Dobson could do on a team like Arkansas.

Just to throw a few homer ideas out there, there are a couple of guys I like from OSU.

Jake Stoneburner is 6-5, 245, athletic, and fast. He has been severely underutlized in his college career, but is poised for a breakout year in a new offense. If Harbor continues to be a minimal factor, Jake could be that second TE that the Eagles have needed. He can be a red zone threat, line up wide, and he can block a bit too. Could be a nice day 2 pick up.

Speaking of TEs, Reid Fragel has been a traditional style TE until this year. He is converting to OT. He will be a raw prospect, but also a natural fit in Mudd's scheme. He could be a very good late round, developmental pick.

But the guy I really want is still 2 years away. Ryan Shazier is listed at 6-2, 212, but reports have him up to 226 and gaining muscle. He should be well over 230 by the end of his junior year. This kid is a flat out nightmare. He's fast, athletic, instinctive, and Mack trucks shy away when they see him coming. He's gonna be a good one.

/homer off

Safety?

Linebacker. Which is why I made a point regarding him bulking up.

Here's his highlights vs. Penn State. On a couple plays you see him showing the ability to shed linemen and he makes the stop 3 times on a goal line stand.

what's up with Kenny Tate from Maryland, is he more of a safety or a lb?he would be a gr8 pickup if he is healthy.

also, there is a guy who will have a breakout year in Michigan imo, William Campbell 6'5 330 NT who is a former 5* recruit.with the loss of Martin and Van Bergen he should be the leader on a young wolverine DL.

Maryland ruined Kenny Tate, he was a stud S prospect but the conversion to OLB really hurt him.

He's not poised for a breakout, he's going to breakout - he may end up being the top TE in college football this year; if Urban plans to use him like he used Aaron Hernandez, he'll be an absolute stud.
