| Quote: | Buccaneers signed seventh-round RB Michael Smith to a four-year contract.
A potential diamond in the rough, Smith would have been a higher pick had he not spent his senior season rotating with 2011 WAC Offensive Player of the Year Robert Turbin. Smith can fly (4.33), shows no fear inside the tackles, and doesn't possess subpar size (5'9/207). Smith could surprise and push LeGarrette Blount hard for the No. 2 back job behind Doug Martin. GM Mark Dominik revealed after the draft that an undisclosed team offered Tampa a 2013 sixth-round pick for Smith's rights. The Bucs liked Smith's tape too much to part ways so quickly. |

| Quote: | Buccaneers signed seventh-round TE Drake Dunsmore to a four-year contract.
We thought the Bucs might take tight end more seriously entering the draft, but Dunsmore was the only one they picked. A 6-foot-2, 241-pound H-back type, Dunsmore is short on speed (4.67-4.75) and playmaking ability. He's not going to be a blocking asset in the pros, and will have to make his mark as a special teamer and passing-down specialist to carve out a career. |
Can't wait to see what Smith can do with our Oline. Hopefully he adds some explosive plays to our offense/special teams. 4.3 speed is something we haven't seen around here for a minute. _________________

| We had the worst running back depth by far last year. Lumpkin was terrible as a pass blocker and as a runner was underwhelming. Madu was a decent receiver but I liked his running more than Lumpkin. Either way, I'm happy to say that both won't be seeing the field every again. Martin-Blount-Smith should be a very fun trio to watch. Smith is an underrated receiver and like Martin can play on third downs. So we'll have two backs this time that are actually worth something. As for Dunsmore, sounds like a Cooley type hybrid interested to see how we use him. |

^ Agreed. Having Smith will be fun, let alone Martin. I'm so excited for our running game, completely revamped the whole thing in one year. The whole offense, really. _________________

With the RBs we have drafted ill be cool with freeman dumping it down now!!...Instead of Graham, we have explosive backs that can run after catch! _________________

| Quote: | | Buccaneers signed sixth-round DB Keith Tandy to a four-year contract.Tandy isn't particularly big or fast, but he can make plays on the football (13 interceptions in three college seasons) and is willing to mix it up physically. After giving Greg Schiano fits in the Big East, the Bucs had to have him. Tandy is expected to move from corner to safety in the not-distant future. |

What a differnce our depth at running back has become, I hated kregg lumpkin and so glad he's gone, worst RB in the NFL! Madu was doing some nice things last year and he was undrafted, hope we keep him as our 4th RB jic someone got hurt. Can't wait to see screens to Smith and see he's blazing speed, still can't find a highlight tape of his so if Someone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Doug Martin is gonna be a beast behind this Oline and in our division that doesn't really have great tacklers, I expect big things from him early. IS IT AUGUST YET!? GO BUCS! _________________

Now we need to get Barron, Martin, and David signed! _________________

| Quote: | | Bucs signed No. 58 overall pick LB Lavonte David to a four-year contract.David is the favorite to fill the vacancy at weak-side linebacker after the Bucs traded up 10 spots to grab him. GM Mark Dominik had his eye on David since the beginning of the second round. One of the top coverage linebackers in the draft, David has 4.65 sideline-to-sideline speed. |
