Agree or disagree?
http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/id/39868/vicks-not-the-only-eagle-under-pressure
| Quote: | | The Philadelphia Eagles' Michael Vick is under the most pressure of any player in the NFC East this year -- the most pressure of any quarterback in the entire NFL. |
| Quote: | | But none of this means that Vick is alone in this predicament. He is, in fact, surrounded by people in similar circumstances. Coming off their 2011 flop, the Eagles have a slew of players on their roster with a great deal to prove in 2012. So in the interest of fairness, and not harping on the same guy over and over again, I present the five non-Vick Eagles with the most to prove this year: |
5. Demeco Ryans
4. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
3. Brandon Graham
2. Desean Jackson
1. Nnamdi Asomugha
| Quote: | | Asomugha wasn't the one who foolishly uttered them (that was Vince Young, who's long gone), but he is the symbol of the high-hopes offseason the Eagles had in 2011. The biggest name among the free agents they brought in for what they hoped would be a Super Bowl run last year, Asomugha struggled in a new scheme and on a new coast. He was not brought in to be merely good, but rather to be one of the best shutdown corners in the league. That is the standard at which he must perform in 2012, or he'll have to carry the label of free-agent bust in a town that doesn't take kindly to them. |

Pretty sure Nate Allen is under more pressure than Nnamdi. If he continues to turd it up his days as a starter are probably over _________________

5. Dave Spadaro (I'm pretty sure he gets death threats...well, he should. Ian start cutting out random letters from magazines and newspapers.)
4. Brian Dawkins (He will find a way to win us that Giants' game, even if he has to lay someone out from the sidelines on Sept. 30th.)
3. Jon DorenBoss (His tricks are starting to get old; he needs a new routine!)
2. Jason Kelce (How can he possibly top that beard?!)
1. Mike Vick/Andy Reid (I got this one right, right?) |

1. Michael Vick
Despite a fantastic 10 game stretch, he has not distinguished himself as a premier QB.
Think about it.
2. Bryce Brown/Chris Polk/Dion Lewis
Three men enter. One man leaves.
Three men enter. One man leaves.
3. Demetress Bell
Those are some big shoes to fill.
The season could begin and end with him.
4. Brandon Graham
Last chance.
He's been about as useful as a Furby to date.
5. Mike Kafka
We still don't really know if he can play QB.
Does he? |

1. Mike Vick - Speaks for itself
2. DeSean Jackson - Needs to reinforce that he's worth those mega bucks. Needs to clean up his act if he doesn't want the diva label to stick
3. Nate Allen - We need an impact FS. So far he's been anything but. Put up or shut up.
4. Brandon Graham - First round player who hasn't provided close to first round value
5. Demetress Bell - Peters is likely done and we cannot afford injuries or erratic play from his heir apparent
6. Mike Kafka - He'll likely see playing time and it likely won't be pretty
7. Nnamdi Asomugha - He had a good season. He's being paid for more than good seasons
8. Mychal Kendricks - Starting as a rookie is never not stressful
9. DeMeco Ryans - He doesn't even really need to return to form, he just needs to be adequate. Although it'd be swell if he did
10. DRC - Contract year but unless he's truly dreadful he'll end up getting paid, here or elsewhere _________________

DeSean Jackson ..even if most things go well but he starts to slip or gets hurt, god it could be bad, Reid will never here the end of it. I am just waiting for some one to drill DeSean again up top, and he start alligator arming and ducting everything. Or is he suddenly brave heart now with a new Lambo and few extra mil? He worries me, i once wanted his baby's, but now he rubs the wrong way like a baby. _________________

I think it's okay, Ryans is a bit odd, Nate Allen over Ryans for me. Otherwise it's fine. _________________

I'm actually agreeing with this...I would add BG but he could be out before the season starts. So his pressure is making the team, not so much based on season performance. _________________

Why is Ryans under so much pressure?
No ranking just the guys that have pressure.
Jeremy Maclin - Has to show up in big games when we need him.
DRC - Needs to prove he's as good as he says he is.
Nate Allen - Has to take the starting spot by force.
DeSean Jackson - Has to show why he deserved that money
Brandon Graham - No question, has to show he's not a bust
Brent Celek - Alot of people are forgetting celek's disappearing act last year
Michael Vick - It's go time. nuff said. _________________

He has a big contract and, for better or for worse, he's being hailed as the savior of our defense _________________

I agree with this the most. | and to make it harder, even if he does good to great but gets hurt, his long term stock is shot and he will never break the fragile tag _________________
