good picks lesser. i'm loving the Steamers skill positions this time around.

QB - Cam Newton, Alex Smith
RB1 - Trent Richardson
RB2 - Darren Sproles
RB3 - Peyton Hillis
FB -
WR1 - Jordy Nelson
WR2 - Roddy White
WR3 - Robert Meachem
WR4 - Santonio Holmes
WR5 - Denarius Moore
TE1 - Brent Celek
TE2 - Coby Fleener, Kellen Winslow

that's a lot of big play capability.

looking at the roster thread all of the teams are really good. right now i'd rank the Steamers near the middle of the pack.

I actually really like your DL, that would be tough to run on, and you would get a solid pass rush.

And on offense, I think we all hope t-rich is the real deal and cam newton is a huge X factor in any game

thanks, i like the DL too. i think we have one of the better starting groups but not one of the best DL groups all together. some teams, namely the virgins (i mean rookies) have excellent depth on the DLine.

and yes the Steamers will live and die with Cam. just like every other team's QB. if he goes down we're pretty screwed with Alex Smith haha

It sounds like the Jets have legit plans to run the wildcat with Tebow. They hired Sparano, and they've seriously begun working on a new package of plays for Tebow. Plus, they'll have him on special teams. I'm genuinely curious to see what they do with him.

Since the eventual "winner" of this little shindig is the team ranked #1 at the end of the season, what would you guys think about doing the preseason rankings a little differently than last year?

I was thinking we would just have a thread here in our forum, and open it up to anyone who wants to post their personal power rankings of our teams. I wouldn't do a poll. Just have it all be done with posts. It could be Browns fans or non-Browns fans. Eventually, a formal panel of judges will be assembled, but we could try the preseason rankings with an open thread.

What do you guys think?

It's too easy to skew the results (as our forum displayed impressively over the weekend).
