Ok guys, time to man up. Confess right here and right now if you were angry that the Vikings took Sidney Rice at #44 in 2007 instead of taking the now-retired Dwayne Jarrett. Smile

Linkee

(And yes, I understand Sidney was hurt and left for Seattle and blah blah blah. But he also gave us a lot more than Jarrett ever gave the Panthers.)

My two man crushes before the 07 draft were Adrian Peterson and Sidney Rice. Cool

but now, I don't care much for Rice because he grew his hair out and he can't stay healthy.

I was all over the Dwayne Jarrett bandwagon in that draft. I admitted my tremendous mistake 2 or 3 years ago. Laughing

I should go back and look for my comments and see how ridiculous they are now. Wink

(Granted, that was shortly after the draft...I wasn't interested in going and finding those discussions we had at the time of the draft)

LOL

Yeah, I'm a great choice if you want old, slow, and what's the opposite of agile? Very Happy

I don't see what the big deal is.

Rice is great when he's healthy, but he's always hurt.

I will admit. I wanted Jarrett and was upset that we took rice over him. Granted it worked out better and I was wrong, thus I decided to trust the management regardless of who they pick as they more know then I do.

That's pretty much where I am too.

Well, we got a compensatory pick, which was used on either Ellison or Childs.

Valid point, but I would counter that Rice did more in 2009 than Jarrett did in his entire career. That alone makes Rice the better pick at #44 for me.

Rice re-hurt his shoulder from that '10 injury, is questionable to even start week 1 this year. Man, the guy just can't stay healthy. Atleast Jaret retired and no team has to worry about him sucking, with Seattle they will always have a ? mark at the number #1 receiver until they get rid of Rice.

We can play the what if game all day.

What if Jarrett had Brett Favre throwing to him in 2009.

What if Jarrett's trainer had given him special contact lenses to reduce glare.

What if Jarrett had been coached under Stewart.

What if Jarrett's main competition as a rookie had been Bobby Wade.

What if Jarrett had witnessed Lance Armstrong getting a blood transfusion from Sheryl Crowe.

Hmmmmmm.....
