I don't really mind what Jimmy had to say here but pretty much everything he does and says annoys me.

They do enough of that in the off-season. Obviously a little discipline is warranted when your team is comprised of immature and undisciplined thugs.

But, regardless, keep taking your digs Schwartz. I'll take our NFC North title, MVP award, Super Bowl win, and most talented roster in the league.

So he sits here and says what the Packers, a superior team, should be doing rather than policing his own team? Yeah, he's a terrible coach.

I hope Mac/Rodgers get wind of this. Those two are the types to hold a grudge. Saw something today about Mac still being pissed about the playoff loss. The 2 games I know for a fact we will win is the 49ers and Giants games. There will be a little extra steam for both of those games.

Super bowls aren't won in May. Investing in camaraderie at this point might be worth more than knowing an extra 10 plays.

Ask Drew Brees how an extra July practice helped against a team that goofs off in the offseason. Aren't the Lions like 10-40 against us in the past 25 years?

This stuff by Schwartz is the latest sign that the Lions are about to resume their regularly scheduled sucking. Do you see the successful coaches in this league taking veiled digs at what other teams do in the offseason?

Why does Schwartz think he knows anything about coaching at all? He started 5-0 last year with wins over Tampa (4-12), KC (7-9) the Bears and Cowboys (both 8-Cool and the Vikings (3-13). He then went 5-6 the rest of the way and was crushed in the playoffs, making him 5-7 over the last 12 games. He is 18-30 after 3 seasons. By contrast, McCarthy was 27-21 over his first three years.

The Lions lineup is studded with very high draft picks, including an overall #1 at QB, and two overall #2s.

SEVEN playoff wins in their history. SEVEN since 1930. The Packers have twice as many TITLES as that. They've had double-digit win seasons five times in the 42 years since the merger in 1970. Last year was their first winning season in over a decade.

And Schwartz thinks that he should take digs at the Packers and McCarthy? This is just stupid, immature, and undisciplined. Which pretty much defines Schwartz, and his team, and it's why I just don't take them seriously at all.

The Bears? The Bears I take seriously, very seriously. Because you don't see Lovie Smith running his piehole like that, and you don't see his players acting like a bunch of undisciplined morons. But the Lions? They poked their heads up over .500 just long enough to embarass themselves and now they'll resume their customary role of punching bag and their fans will once again get exactly what they deserve.

Um, I HIGHLY recommend you see this.

The 200 slides shown to 12 media members today presenting some of the evidence the NFL has collected regarding Bountygate. My favorite:

Harvin might be holding out.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-on-football/19384049/percy-harvin-not-happy-with-a-couple-situations-contemplating-holdout

Heard it on KFAN on the way home from work and figured I would post it as it is slow. Actually thought it might be an interesting talker. Lets say its for money ( Harvin hasn't really said what he's upset about), how much would you pay for his services? Put those homer glasses down and lets hear it. He has a very unique skill-set.

I have issues with giving Harvin big money. For one thing, he's slightly built and does most of his damage over the middle (and takes a lot of hits). You already have an issue with availability, and you're not sure that it won't get worse as he gets older.

The other is that he's probably not the most mature person on the Vikings team, and there's likely concern that he might check out and focus more on "enjoying himself" than "football" once he gets the big payday.

So if I were the Vikings, and he really is holding out for a big payday, I'm nervous about it (though not too nervous, since holding out is much less effective under the new CBA.)

He does have a unique skill set, but his availability has been pretty crappy and I don't see him as holding up as a "true #1" The get him a fair amount of touches getting him in open space out of the backfield, but I would say 6-7 mil would be my top end. Then again, even for say Jennings, 9-10 is my top end for a WR.

FWIW he hasn't missed much playing time. 3 games in 3 years. What he misses is practice time but luckily for us it hasn't really affected his performance on the field.

I also wouldn't describe Harvin as 'slightly built'. Dude looks jacked to me.
