Why?
It's been assumed he's unhappy with his role in the Vikings offense and that role is quite similar to what he would be asked to do here. It seems as though Harvin wants to be a #1 receiver and likely wants to be paid as one as well...and last I checked, we already have Bryant and Austin. _________________

I dont think the Vikings offense is similar to the Cowboys but I may be wrong _________________

What I mean is...he's essentially used as a slot receiver/dual threat type of player. We already have Austin to use in that role when we go three wide.
There's also the issues of his ever constant migraines. _________________

| If we wanted to pay our #3 WR big time money, we would have re signed Robinson. Harvin is not worth the price tag he is asking and is too injury prone for my liking. |

| Doesn't like how the Vikings are using him...BS. It's all about money. He doesn't like that his salary this year is only around 1 mil. You know players can't do complicated math like dividing their signing bonus over their contract length to determine what they are actually getting paid for the year. Sorry I'm gonna have to apply the newly furnished "Delta Bravo" tag here. |

if he would take 5 or 6 years 30 million to be our #3 wr and be full time KR and PR I would do it in a heartbeat for a 2nd or lower. That would allow Dez to focus on being the receiver we think he can be. That would be a real scary offense Dez, Miles, Percy, and Witten. Salary cap wise probly not a smart move, but Jerry knows how to keep his players happy. _________________ NFL-Cowboys

Harvin for Mike Jenkins, even up????? What you guys think? He definately would solve the PR & KR issues..... _________________ daboys4life |

Really? Why? Austin is a legitimate Top 10-15 WR. Harvin, not so much. _________________

Evan Silva says he thinks Percy Harvin is the best slot receiver in the NFL. Better than Wes Welker. Harvin has been pretty darn productive with no one to throw him the ball. I wouldn't trade Austin for him, but I don't think Harvin is that far off of his level.
Regardless, we took the guy off of our draft board. I doubt we are antsy to trade for him now. _________________

On a similar note, can a player with the franchise tag applied be traded? I was thinking Jenkins and Spencer to Detroit for Avril and a 5th. Let the onslaught of insults begin. |
