San Francisco 49ers: Situational Football, Fundamentals and A New Beginning

http://bayarea.sbnation.com/san-francisco-49ers/2012/6/20/3095532/san-francisco-49ers-situational-football-fundamentals-and-a-new

Quote:
The Niners have been working on third-down conversions and red zone plays, and with the repetition, we can expect improvement. If the 49ers can become precise and efficient in those two areas, that could be the deciding factor that turns this great team into a potential dynasty. The Niners are capable of some great performances in 2012 and beyond if they could mend their situational issues on offense. But they seem to be on the right track with a proper state of mind. With minicamp over we wait for training camp, but during OTA's both Bucky Brooks and Michelle Beisner reported from Santa Clara. Their individual reports were encouraging and extremely optimistic, particularly about the 49ers offense. If the unit is indeed making strides -- especially situationally -- the team could be a nightmare for opponents for years to come.

I hate the expression "they bring their lunch pail and hard hat". These guys are not blue collar. They make a lot of money. I don't know why it bothers me but it does. Even the scrubs make 6 figure salaries.

Moss, Crabtree set pace for all 49ers receivers

http://www.csnbayarea.com/football-san-francisco-niners/niners-talk/Crabtree-Moss-set-the-pace-for-all-49ers?blockID=728386&feedID=5936

Quote:
The 49ers have never had a group of WRs as deep and talented as the one they had sprinting around their practice field during their seven weeks of practices this offseason. Obviously, Baalke learned from the team's failings of last season when they were so thin at the position that the coaches did not feel comfortable putting three wideouts on the field for the NFC championship game. The 49ers should still be in good shape this season even with an injury or two or three. If everyone is healthy at the start of the season, there will some good receivers who will not win the right to suit up for regular-season games. This will be the most interesting position to watch during the course of training camp when there are a lot of reps to go around during the 49ers' marathon three-hour practices.

LaMichael joins the team after finishing his degree at Oregon. Short video, but shows his quickness and agility pretty well. http://www.49ers.com/media-gallery/videos/LaMichael-James-Joins-Team-at-Minicamp/61f28096-62d7-4c60-a140-1d0f16baa2fe

can't wait to see James on the field. I have a really good feeling about him.
