The Mikel Arteta award for more underrated poster goes to....
EnglishLion20 & Patro14
As you can see from the tie in this award, this was an outrageously close vote. The fact that a clear winner couldn't be found is a testament to how many superb posters we have in this forum. As for the two winners of this award, they are both extremely worthy.
Patro is of course the resident South American expert and all around knowledgeable poster. I'm sure pretty much everyone in the forum appreciates hearing his point of view, specifically with regards to La Liga and South America. Patro was of course co-winner of this award last season, so must have continued to impress many of the members of this forum. Long may it continue.
In my opinion, EnglishLion is one of the heart and souls of the forum. EL is an ever present and one who is obviously appreciated by everyone here. Although he isn't someone who sparks controversy, he will always give his opinion on an issue. All round, thoroughly appreciated member.
Dotmotion was the runner up in this award and as I said, it was the closest of the lot. Shows just how much quality we have across the board in my opinion. _________________

The Sir Alex Ferguson Award Goes To The Member That The Forum Feels Is The Most Knowledgeable About The Game, And That Award Goes To.......
Texans_UK
This award goes to the member that the forum overall feels best exemplifies the best Knowledge of the game, adds great insightful views and opinions to the discussion and generates a great amount of debate around the forum. Tex has been a valuable asset to Soccer on this board, even before it got its own forum, and his knowledge has not gone unnoticed by his fellow members, as he retains the award he won last year. Congrats Tex.
Lomaxgr and LeeEvans were the Runners up for this prestigious award. _________________

The Papiss Cisse award for best rookie goes to....
Yankee0724
This award obviously goes to the poster who has an immediate and positive effect on the forum, from when they started posting. This was a pretty close award but Yankee emerged victorious and is a justified winner. Yankee is a poster who is active across the forum, from Football Manager ,EPL and of course Barcelona. He is certainly is never one to shy away from a debate. To be honest we have had a great crop of rookies this year and lets hope we can attract more posters of this ilk, in order to further grow the forum.
The runners up in this award were Imarobot and teamorange, in second and third. |
I was actually expecting this to go to robot lol
I'd like to dedicate this win to the 12th best player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo _________________

The Thread of the Year award goes to....
Be A Pro V1
It was a close contest between this thread and the Euro Babes thread, but Be A Pro 1 emerged victorious. I personally loved doing the first of the Be A Pro's and hopefully you guys enjoyed it as much as I did. It was of course Yankee who thought of the concept so thanks needs to go to him. Seeing our players grow and develop, and seeing the superstar career of the greatest player to ever live was a great thing to watch
The runners up in this award were Euro Babes 2012 and the Football Trivia thread. _________________

Yeah I tried to bump it towards the end of the season but as a lot of threads to it ended up getting pushed down by more pertinent football stuff. _________________

I think you forgot trolls other members who disagree with his views. Is pretty arrogant in his own views.
Thanks guys, I wear my 2011 edition with pride and I'm honoured to win this again. I honestly thought this was Lee or Lomax (my votes) year.
Lots of great posters and I'm 100% positive I won't win this next year with the quality of posters we have on this board. Once everyone fully flourishes and shows their true knowledge. Great times to be a soccer fan on FF. Honestly there are probably 6 or 7 guys who are plenty knowledgeable to win this award. With the rest of you guys learning fast. _________________

Ok...The Big One...
The Mario Balotelli Legend Award Goes To...
kempus, (Yeah I know, fix right)
However His dedication to the forum is second to none, has put in a lot of work around here, with various FM Be a Pro's which have been massively successful...and he continually see’s them through which deserves credit in itself. The first ever Soccer Draft winner, the first ever EPL Pick Em Champion.....(beating me on the last day) ...
Overall Kempus is one of the main contributors to the soccer forum and was even before Soccer had its own place, in a forum where he is massively outnumbered to both Chelsea and Arsenal fans he stands tall as the lone Spurs regular...
Never shy of an opinion, or a debate, A very passionate Spurs member, love him or hate him Kempus has shown his worth for the Legend award, and In my opinion the award is fully deserved...
Pushing Kempus were both Dotmotion and LeeEvans who finished joint runners up... _________________
