Deonte Thompson was one of favorite UDFA pickups for us, and he's reportedly making a really nice impression for us during OTA's.
We all know the top 3 is pretty much set in stone for us at WR, but there's a big question as to who is going to step up and be the 4th guy for us. Thompson should have the same opportunity as Doss/Williams/Streeter to be that guy. Hopefully he can keep turning heads, he's got the speed to possibly be a valuable commodity for us. |

| To be honest I just hope we really have a REAL competition. I don't really think we should have anything set in stone outside of Torrey and Q. With the exception of David Reed I feel like everyone deserves a shot at seeing the field (I'm just tired of Reed TBH). I like our group more now than any other time I can remember as a Ravens fan. We are young we have speed, size and guys that all have potential to get better. Even Boldin can improve on what he has done in Baltimore as the young guys become more defined in their roles I think we start to use him more to his strengths. This is the first time in the last three years (barring injuries) that we aren't entering the season with a new starter at any of the skill positions on O. RB,WR, or TE, that continuity gives us realistic expectations of what we have and areas to work toward improving based upon previous accomplishments. I think Flacco is finally ready to be this teams leader as the eldest player in this offensive system no excuse will be accepted if we underacheive. |

| Agreed on just about all of that...especially with David Reed, I'm a bit tired of him as well. I do however think Jacoby Jones is pretty set as the #3 guy. As far as the #4 job, I want it to be open, the best guy gets it. As much as I'd like to see Tandon Doss get it, I hope he doesn't have a leg up just because we spent a 4th rounder on him. I just hope the best of Doss/LaQuan/Streeter/Thompson (or anyone else that we've got) gets the job, which I'm confident will be the case. |

Its tough to make predictions at this point, but I think he's got as good a shot as anyone to get one of the last roster spots, certainly just as good as Tommy Streeter. I like hearing about the hype from mini-camps, but Im looking forward to seeing it myself in live action. The knock on both of these kids is that they might be more athlete than football player.
I like the big play potential of Streeter as a receiver, but Thompson could have an edge as a special teams contributor. Should be a lot of fun watching all the young receivers battle it out for the final 2 or 3 roster spots. |

I'm all for adding young speed (and the fact that's he is 6 foot 200 lbs makes it better), but I just hope he can catch the damn ball. _________________

| Obviously, I'm hoping for the best, but it's still really early in the process. Even after training camp and the preseason games last year, it looked like Tandon Doss was going to be an impact player and Torrey Smith was too raw to see the field. We all saw how that's turned out so far. |
