| Quote: | Geoff Baker of the Seattle Times writes that the Mariners are expected to sign first-round pick Mike Zunino soon.
The signing might not be official until early July, as he has a couple of award ceremonies on his agenda in the coming days. Zunino, a 21-year-old catcher out of the University of Florida, was selected No. 3 overall in this month's First-Year Player Draft. The slot recommendation for the pick is $5.2 million. |

In 2011 Seager was our 9th best prospect. I could definitely see Romero around that mark. |
I think you could make the case for him to be as high as 8th.
Walker
Hultzen
Zunino
Franklin
Paxton
Capps
Pryor
Those are the only players I'd definitely rank ahead of him at this point. _________________

If you've totally given up on Catricala, then sure. I'd probably put both guys over closer prospects, though. _________________

I don't think anybody's giving up on him; but he's been pretty bad.
He's dropped into the Romero, Miller, Marder group for me. _________________

I just can't justify putting relief prospects over legitimate everyday position players.
I mean, top of line best reliever can get around 3 WAR. A position player has much more potential for value. _________________

Meh, I'll take the potential to dominate over positional value in prospect rankings.
Capps & Pryor could potentially be elite, while the others upside are useful players. _________________

Fair enough, I don't agree, though.
Victor Sanchez - 6 IP, 5 hits, 1 ER, 2 walks, and 8 K's.
Littlewood also hit his third bomb already. _________________

He's been hanging around rookie ball for a few years. Not surprised. _________________

Hopefully Hultzen bounces back tonight. Tough lineup though. _________________

Nice start, two K's, made Gose look like a fool. _________________

Am I the only one seeing this velocity from Felix? Hit 95 to A-Gon. Has hit 94 multiple times. _________________
