Who is looking to be the primary back behind Gore? I know Jacobs is there but imo, either Hunter or James should be Gore's replacement in the next year or two? Thanks in advance.

Hunter will almost certainly have the 2nd most carries on the team at the end of the year.

You may be right but I wouldn't say "almost certainly". I've gotta gut feeling that James is going to light it up right away taking a lot of carries away from Hunter. The brass didn't select him in the second round for redundancy's sake. And it's probably not because they were down on Hunter, just that their that high on James. Either way, what a great problem to have!

I think many of James' touches will come off passes and returns. If the question is "Who will get the most touches?", I'd hesitate and might give it to James. But who will be Frank's primary back-up, I'd have to go with Hunter. He should get more carries and snaps. He's had a year to work on pass pro, along with learning the playbook and getting rep. That gives him the advantage as a runner. But James will get special packages, will learn a few plays in regular sets, and will be used all over the field. Split wide, from the slot, catching out of the backfield, two RBs sets, kick returns, etc. When it comes to yards, I believe James will get more than Hunter.

| If you're talking fantasy points, I'd say James has the edge, but I think Jacobs will come out with the most touchdowns out of the trio (Jacobs/James/Hunter). |

fantasy dynasty league but also as a James fan.

Harbaugh has a man crush on James. He is gonna give this kid as much touches as James proves worthy of. If james has a good practice then look for him to get more playing time that weekend. Well see a up an down split on carries with these two every week. James is gonna be favored in my mind.
