The potential is still exciting!
I'm excited for the first preseason game. _________________

Its really not any different than putting hopes in Harrison Smith. Robinson has one thing that Allen and McCauley never had, and that is elite speed, something the secondary has lacked for years. CBs with elite speed are able to get away with things other CBs may not be able too. |

For me, it's a tie. The receivers and Harrison Smith. I felt like we didn't even give Ponder a solid chance with the corps we had last season (let alone offensive line). But my player to watch is Harrison Smith. We haven't had an elite secondary player outside Winfield in some time. I think he'll be a very active player all over the field; making plays. I see him as a player that gets stats such as this: 88 tackles (total), 3.5 sacks, 3 INT, 10-20 pass break ups. I have that much faith in this player. But as much faith as I have in him, I have more faith in the system of which he was fortunate to land in. I am very excited to see Harrison Smith in the 2012 season! _________________

I moslty look forward to our offensive line. Is Johnson really that much better at guard? Can Sullivan improve? Does Loadhoalt finally understand pass protection? We lost 2 very solid linemen, filled them with journey men and added one exciting rookie...not the formula for success. Anyway, I'm looking forward to see how this plays out.
I'm also interested in Williams and how he will play in kind of a contract year...and can we finally find a successor to pat?
Outside of that: I hope (but don't think it will happen) that the play-book is much more agressive than last year. We have to stop to play it safe. Put Harvind and Rudy on the field on every offensive snap. |

Part of what is exciting is seeing a young guy with potential (Fusco) attempt to step in. This is the problem with the Vikings. The hung onto too many "solid" players like Hutch and Herrera for fear of letting a younger player with more potential step in and prove there worth. I think Johnson should atleast be on par with Hutchinson, Johnson was a good run blocker last year and his pass protection should improve moving inside. I am hopefully Fusco can atleast be adequate, will see. |

I'm excited to move on from the last 2 years and begin to look at things more positively regarding the Vikings' future. _________________

If we can score more points in the 2nd half of games, I'll be happy. _________________ Welcome to Minnesota, Greg Jennings.

Don't know if excited is the right word, but I'm eager to see what Bill Musgrave's offense looks like after a full off season! I'm eager to see how Adrian Peterson plays whenever he get's on the field. I'm eager to see improvement in the offensive line play.
I'm eager to see improvements in the defensive secondary. I'm eager to see if Kevin Williams can have a "comeback" year. I'm eager to see who will be the starting MLB. I'm eager to see if Jarred Allen picks up where he left off last season.
I'm eager to see a lot of young players playing!
I don't know if the Vikings will reach .500 in W's & L's, but I do anticipate improvement in play and a truly competitive team. I'm eager to see a style of play and performance that allows followers of the NFL to say that the Vikings are on the right track. |

The thing that excites me the most? The Cheerleaders, duh!
Far as the team goes, I want to see how the youth blends with the key veterans on the team. Leaders like Jared, K-Will, Adrian and Antoine know their window to get back to the playoffs isn't big. The young talent can enhance this team tremendously if they work at it.
If they win games early and don't get cocky, this will be a fun team to watch.
Other than that? I'm excited for my company fishing trip to the mighty Kenai River this weekend. If all goes perfectly, I could catch n kill 81 sockeye (red) salmon! 30 would provide about 150 lbs of fillets, so I'd be willing to split the rest with the company . . . lol. |

| I am excited to see how Ponder develops. That is literally the only thing that matters to me this year. My opinion is that unless you have a franchise QB you are not a realistic contender for the superbowl. So to me, seeing if Ponder can move towards that role tells me if this team has any shot of turning into a contender anytime soon. |
