Sounds like Corey Wootton looked good tonight. First step looked good and he said he thinks his first step is "where it needs to be". I don't know about anyone else, but I'm stoke to watch Wootton this year and I think he is the x factor for our lack of pass rush... Even more so than McClellin.

That's a little misleading since we led the league in QBPs...

This means nothing. In his 11th season, I doubt Peppers goes anywhere close to 100% in practice. Peppers could mop the floor with Webb all night long if he wanted to. |

I recall reading the same thing last year about Wooton.
mans made of glass so far, he needs to prove himself that he can stay healthy or he wont be employed by DA Bears next year

Of course Peppers wasn’t going full speed…the point is that Webb’s technique held up and he wasn’t completely dominated by Peppers going 80%. |

| Something interesting that was never brought up when he was drafted…but Shea McClellin’s Dline coach at Boise State visited Rod Marinelli in the 2008 offseason and implemented Rod’s Dline drills at Boise…you have to think that will give McClellin a leg up in camp as well as thinking Marinelli had some inside info on McClellin before we went ahead and drafted him. |

At least in practice No. 1 in pads, J'Marcus Webb can sleep soundly Saturday night.
In seven-on-seven running plays, Webb was physical up front and even getting to the second level, twice putting solid hits on linebacker Nick Roach.
Not a big surprise there because Mike Tice has indicated that both Webb and Chris Williams can show flashes of dominance in run blocking. But where Webb stood out was pass blocking, seeing a whole lot of Julius Peppers. Either Peppers was uninterested in going all out or maybe Webb has taken strides, because the offensive tackle held up well.
As for Williams, he appeared to be beaten twice by rookie Shea McClellin in one-on-one drills.
For one evening, at least, Webb seemed to be better

It's good to hear that Carimi is looking good...he is key to our Oline improving and could form a very strong run blocking right side with Lance Louis...
We all expected Marshall to dominate...the battle between Hayden & Jennings should go down to the wire...if Rodriguez can carve out a niche is this offence he is yet another weapon. |

I'm very excited to see Rodriguez on the field and to see to what extent of a contributor to our offense he will be in year one. His game really excites me as an H-back. I guess we saw a little on the same with manumaleuna (I think I spelled that right) but as we all know that isn't work out too well  anyways, hes so versatile and gives a whole new dimension to our offense as he can block, line up at tailback, split outside as a WR, etc.
