Let's just say when a team picks Woods in the top 10 next year their fans won't boo it profusely.

Alligator arms = <

Remember in grade school your math teacher referred to this symbol "<" as an alligator mouth?

Look at the angle of his arms. The ball hit Woods right in the hands. If he had proper technique, his hands wouldn't be so far apart. Yes his arms are extended, but his hands aren't close together.

That made me laugh. Your taking that term a little too literally, I mean when people say Mike Vick has a cannon they mean he throws the ball really far. Not this:

I agree with you here. If Woods catches this ball with his hands, it's a TD. The defender was nowhere near him to make a play on that ball. You catch that with your hands.

Actually, catching wise, he did exactly what you're supposed to do there. He needs to show more awareness to get the toes down and drag them but when in tight coverage, you're not supposed to catch it out away from your body unless you have to because it's easier for a defender to knock it away. You're taught to catch it with your hands close to your body as he did so you can quickly protect the ball. So his catching technique was correct on that play, his field awareness wasn't.

You can't be serious. The defender was nowhere near him. You think Larry Fitzgerald would have caught this pass against his body as Woods does?

Quite serious. Rather than waste my time arguing with you on a technical aspect when I know I'm right, I'll defer to Michael Irvin:
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-draft/09000d5d8286cd8e/Game-Changers-Justin-Blackmon-with-Michael-Irvin
Skip to 2:30. He explains why you catch the ball that way.

And the defender was definitely near him. Plus with Woods tracking the ball, he has no way of knowing exactly where the defender is. It's his job to anticipate being hit and plan accordingly.

If Woods had extended his arms to bring his hands toward the ball, he would have kept his feet inbound. End of story. Instead he feels more comfortable bringing his chest toward the ball and cradling it. There are times when a body catch is fine. This isn't one of them.

No, he wouldn't have. You're completely and utterly wrong.

On that play, the way he caught it was not wrong. It guards against the threat of the defender hitting him from behind. Irvin says that. You really want to argue that you know more about catching passes in traffic than Michael Irvin?

The issue on that play was his footwork and field awareness. He should have dragged his front toes. It doesn't matter how he caught the ball, he wasn't going to be inbounds unless he dragged his toes.

HE CAUGHT IT WITH HIS HANDS. He caught it with his hands setup in a way so he could quickly bring it to his chest to protect the ball. Body-catching is different from that. If you're going to rate WRs, you have to know this stuff.

Furthermore, it doesn't matter how he caught it, it wouldn't have changed his foot placement on that play.

I like this kid alot. But iv herd a phew knocks on him that he may have hard time getting off the line an adjusting the physical play of NFL CBs an he may have a hard time running routes in the NFL.

I think he runs pretty well already so I dont no but him having trouble running NFL routes dont buy it much. Having trouble with NFL CB's ya I could see that.

BINGO.

100% correct.
