| Espn has reported that Jim Leonhart will not be back. With all the new signings at safety he was expendable. I was hoping to see him back. |

I'd be surprised if he plays again. Two major leg injuries to a guy that was already slow. _________________

Yeah after the draft, and signing Bell, I knew that he wasn't going to return. Having two back to back major injuries, and hes getting older and slower. It sucks to see him go, but its probably best at this time. I just hope he doesn't sign with the pats or Bills. _________________

Loved his heart. But he was way too physically limited. Best of luck to him, hes a good guy, and plays balls to wall. _________________

| I've said it before and I'll say it again. I would love to see Jim stay in a coaching position of some sort. |

A lot of this assumes that Landry will be healthy and play a full season, which seems like a question mark to me.
Leonard's probably not healthy enough to do anything other than participate in limited practice at this point, anyway. Until he signs with another team and makes their roster, I don't know how you could ever completly rule out resigning him at some point. _________________

How the heck did you know we were going to be involved to get him? haha.
He is visiting in Buffalo right now. We should sign him if he can pass a physical. _________________

lol I had a gut feeling. He is a very smart player and I wish we could have signed him back as a back up and cut smith.
If he signs with the bills, the only time I will root for him is when yall play the Pats. _________________

I feel sort of sad by this news. I think Leonhard was the heart of our defense, at least in 09 and 10. Sure he was a little slow but he knew how to make plays. he was a real leader IMO.
I said it a number of times but I still believe we wouldn't have lost all three of those games at the end of last season if he had been playing. In 2010 we had Lowery and Coleman to pick up the slack; last year there was no one.
This year it looks like we have a lot of potential, with steed, fletcher, bush, Allen, etc. Here's hoping at least one of them have Leonhard's heart and desire |

Signed with Denver. I liked him while he was here, he definitely helped Rex's defense immensely. _________________
