Teams: Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints
Date: August 5th, 2012
Time: 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time
Location: Fawcett Stadium, Canton, OH
TV: The NFL Network
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL???!!!!!! After months of talking draft and free agents and following a few minicamp highlights and having to follow baseball just to get my sports fix, we finally get to play some football. I couldn't be more excited.
As stated previously, Kevin Kolb will be starter for this game. No word yet on how long he'll play but I'm hoping it's just 1-2 series, so that Skelton can also get a little time with the 1s. _________________

Whiz said yesterday that he doesn't know how much time Ryan Williams would see Sunday, IF he plays at all. _________________

Not surprise at all, even though I satill wanted to see him play. Take it easy, continue to rehab, keep progressing, get ready for week 1. _________________

IMO his first playing time should be on our field. Don't test out that knee on unfamiliar turf. _________________

Anybody think MAYBE we should have taken a RB in the draft?
I know we have the Big 3, but a lot of uncertancy with the rest of the group. Smith is average at best. I would have loved to take a chance on a late rounder like Bryce Brown, former number one overall high school player who bounced around a few universities for whatever reason.
Eagle beat writers raving about him. _________________

Brown's a nut case. He'd be a flash in the pan who'd then want big bucks and pull some stunt if he didn't get his way, same way he did in college....twice. I'll pass.
As for a back overall, I'd have been for that but I'd be lying if I said I was too worried about it. We throw 500 times a year every year, running game is really just a supplement to what we want to do offensively. _________________

Agreed IF everyone stay healthy. That Seattle game early last year was a possible preview if the two big boys go down.
I'm anxious to see Thomas Clayton, who may just be a camp body.
He's nearly 6 foot, and is very well built for a running back at 220. Huge arms and thighes. Should hold up in pass pro. _________________

That's actually a great game example for both of our points (I'm assuming your talking about the first game). On the one hand, a big part of that loss had to do with the fact that Alphonso Smith couldn't convert on 4(Or 5, think my count was 4) 3rd down runs of 1-2 yards when Beanie didn't play (And obviously, neither did Ryan Williams). That absolutely crushed us. Getting into short 3rd downs is only a positive thing if you convert those short 3rd downs and our running game couldn't do that. That's an excellent example of where another back would help us. ON THE OTHER HAND, Kevin Kolb also threw 2 interceptions in that game and fumbled the football once. His only touchdown pass was an absolute duck of a prayer that Larry made an unbelievable play on to salvage 6 (Caught that ball over 3 guys). If Kolb plays a league average game, not even a good game, just league average, we're much better off end result wise. Probably get the win.
Feely missing 2 field goals into the wind didn't help matters either. We lost that game by 3 points... _________________

#Cards S Adrian Wilson nursing a calf injury likely will not play vs #Saints, Rashad Johnson would get the start. #xtratc #cardscamp #HOF
