Funny how you just assume that is what I'm saying or what I think.
I said he is gamer, not the most accurate QB ever. I also never said that he was perfect and ready to start tomorrow. You just jump way too far ahead of anything that's right in front of you.
I'm starting to wonder if you even watched Pryor play? Alex Smith!! Are you kidding me!! Alex Smith!! Pryor could run circles around Smith, literally!! At the very least Pryor will be another Vince Young, that's not good for a starter, but a decent backup. Alex Smith!!
All I'm saying is wait for preseason and see for yourself. He'll probably throw some bad passes. Guess what, that will be expected from a player in his first NFL game scenario. I bet he also makes a bunch of plays too. Running, rolling out, deep bombs down the field, and some ducks. That's what I remember from every single game he played at OSU.
I'm so glad we have Palmer because Pryor is not ready to play. In one or two years though..... |
Do I jump too far or do I make assumptions based on logic and what I've already seen?? Pryor was an awful passer in college and just b/c he plays for the Raiders (even though he played for my college team also) isn't going to make him better. He's just not good and he's showing it. Time will not help him.
I've watched every single football game Pryor has ever play since his first day at OSU. He would run circles around him... he's have too b/c he can't throw a good football. He's Alex Smith in the sense that he doesn't have the best accuracy and they remind me of one another. Pryor is faster while Smith is smarter. I think Pryor would be a turnover machine if he played. Smith, while he lacks talent, is smart enough not to turn it over often. Skill wise though and the way they play the position, they remind me of one-another.
I like how you're making fun of Alex Smith and saying I'm crazy to think he plays like him yet you're saying he's the equivalent of a guy who can't even hold a starting job............ VY is terrible anyway.
And I totally expect that from him if he steps on the field. You just said it. Problem is, defenses are 10 times better than he faced in college so essentially, he needs to be 10 times better to even have a chance.... well, based on reports, he's same ol Pryor and isn't getting too much better. That doesn't bode well for him.
In one or two more years, Pryor better have a new position or he'll still be Captain "Hey-Dude-I-Need-Some-Gatorade" Clipboard |
Wow, am I really debating with someone who can't read? I didn't know that "at the very least" was the same as equivalent. Oh well guess you learned me.
Guess we'll see how he does on Monday and go from there. _________________

Right now Routt is somewhere citing his low burn rate, confused and bitter about being waived. He didn't get it either. |
Please don't tell me you're talking about Jason Campbell. lol He was scrambling when he got injured, and it happened because he went forward head first instead of sliding... |
Why was he scrambling? |
Don't remember. Either to avoid pressure or because he's afraid to pull the trigger. Either way, it's not the offensive lines fault he didn't slide. Every QB in the league has to scramble at one point in the game. I fail to see why you're holding our offensive line to a higher standard. |
From what I can see Jason saw a lane decided to tuck and run, cant say it was the O lines fault.

Umm.... isn't "at the very least" = equivalent in the sense you're using it? If he's "at the very least" VY, then he's always going to be equal to him if not greater, right?
nice way to dodge my post though. _________________

imo it was jc's fault some how he never learned how to slide and i knew one day it would come back to haunt him. i dont think cp knows how to slide either (knock on wood) _________________

Absolutely agree. I cannot wait to see what our offense can accomplish this season. I just hope McFragile keeps the boo-boos to a minimum _________________

14 games would be amazing imo. I really dont expect any RB to make it a full 16 games anymore at least not a starting one.
-----
I think a strong OL and chemistry with Palmer are going to help much more this season.
We were 9th in yards and 16th in PPG(22.4). Thats with having JC half the year, the KC game, an off the coach QB and missing DMAC for more than half the year. Not to mention Jones was out as well. So I am not that worried about our offense going into this season. I would expect we avg around 26-28 ppg this season. Yards dont matter if you dont put the points to match them. |

Top-3 might be a stretch. We would have to beat out either NO, GB, or NE, not to mention DET, PHI, etc. Those guys all got around 400 YPG last year- thats a ton. Even if Palmer somehow throws for 4000 yards in Knapp's offense (he already said it will focus on the run more than pass), we would still need 2400 rushing yards. McFadden could get 1600 if he stays healthy, but I dont see Jones and Goodson combining for another 800. _________________
