Nothing for jax bc the other team will wait it out and get him for nothing when he is released.
If a team isn't willing to trade for him, and the Hawks don't cut him before week 1 of the reg. season, I believe we are on the hook for the entire $4.mill, but if we cut him his salary cap hit will only be $500k, that's a savings of $3.5 mill.... I could be wrong here!, But hey what's giving up nothing for nothing?, it's a win-win for the Hawks.
I don't know the $ amount but if he is released any time the Hawks would have to buy out his final year. 500k cap hit but the Hawks still have to pay 4mill to him after released? Is that what your trying to say? Because it would be a no brainer to cut him for 500k. Contract talk gets to be sticky and time will tell if the Hawks get burned in the wallet. No team will pay much over the minimum for him.
