RG to be in 30-35 plays reported at Hogs Haven.
Crawford to be handling most of the returns. Hopefully he lights it up.

It will be interesting to see how well Crawford returns against actual players that will make it on nfl teams and not guys who hope to get on a practice squad.

Morris could start against the Bears.

Quote:
“We kind of know what Royster can do, so a guy like Morris will get more reps in the second game than a guy like Royster, because we want to evaluate some of these guys and see what they can do in live situations,” Shanahan said on Wednesday.

This is a result of helu's injury and Hightower not being ready yet.

This is a good thing though, irregardless of how it came about. I want to see what Morris does vs nfl Starters and one of the best defenses in the league. If he does well and Hightower struggles next week in his chance and the last preseason game, Morris does have a chance to make the team.

Markus white broke a rib and bruised his kidney. Not good in terms of his fight to make the team.

Maybe, maybe not. They could IR-stash him now if they like him.

EDIT: 500 posts to go. Very Happy

I was thinking the same thing, hope so. Then, Wilson would make the team again and I'd be happy. I still think he should have started opposite Rak with Carter rotating in back in 2010, then I'd have Zo at Ilb

That sucks. That makes 2 out of last years draft class that are down. Was White a seventh round pick as well as Neild?

Yeah, but at least they're here. In years past we didn't develop late round picks enough or invest in them that they'd stick with the team.

Looking forward to alot of things this game. I am especially looking forward to Alfred Morris and Tristan Davis. I know what we have in Royster, Helu and Hightower. I want to see if we have a bigger stable of RBs available.

Crawford to be handling most of the returns. Hopefully he lights it up.

Saw the # of snaps and was a bit shocked but I like the idea of him getting in the work.

Yes and hope Crawford lights it up also.

I was hearing that Banks is really going to get a ton of chances at WR again tonight (hopefully not on 3rd down). Larry Michaels was saying that if they keep Banks they will have to let a WR go, and I don't see Banks being a top 5 WR (or top 8 even lol)--Garcon, Moss, Morgan, Hankerson, Briscoe, Armstrong, Austin, Robinson, ?? who is he going to beat there ?? so he had better show something other than return skills or he won't make the 53.

If Crawford can handle some of the return duties it would make things much easier to trim the final roster.

Of course, if Banks lights it up tonight then maybe he wins a spot. Sadly, I really don't see that happening, ESPECIALLY against the Bears. So, Prove me wrong Banks. But I don't see it.

True turtle. We've all talked about how crucial it is to draft and develop your own players. Great point.

White - 2011 7.21 (224)
Neild - 2011 7.50 (253)

Perhaps Brandyn Thompson (2011 7.10 (213)) and Maurice Hurt (2011 7.14 (217)) should be worried? Well, in Hurt's case, more worried than he is now since he's probable to play today with his knee.
