Collins is a backup lineman so he has almost no impact on the starting unit. Lowery is bad. Steltz is bad. Tamme wasn't even resigned by his original team. Maiava is bad. Both Hartline and Thomas started because how bad the team was, they are now backups. Forgot Glover. Hill is a backup. Moore is a dime CB. Murphy just got traded for scraps. Collie has barely played with concussions. Toler might get cut.
Most of those guys contribute for a max of 2 years if at all that you just named. _________________

Been following card camp a lil, and this is nowhere near close to being the case (based on what i've read). I've read he's the frontrunner at #2 and would be locked in if not for last year's injury _________________

I'm going to be upset if i don't see anything from irvin again, personally. You guys among others factors have steered me towards liking this pick. Even though this a preseason game, we still need to see SOMETHING. You don't take projects in the first round, and that's why we had to retain chris clemons. Letting him continue to sit or walk next year would have set us back. Bruce looks like he needs time. All we've heard about is his speed and good of an athlete he can be, but he needs more time. Starting to sound like Aaron Curry to me (WAY too early, just making the most relevant comparison with previous first rounders)
Hopefully last week was just a scheme/opportunity thing _________________

| Quote: | | Nickel back. Roy Lewis was the third cornerback in passing situations with the No. 1 defense in the preseason opener against the Titans last week, a spot he has played the past two seasons. Saturday night, Marcus Trufant steps into that role – a new one for the former first-round draft choice and Pro Bowl left cornerback. |

| Quote: | 1. QB competition continued. Matt Flynn makes his second start in as many exhibition games for Seattle, an opportunity to build on a mostly efficient performance against Tennessee last week. The question is really if rookie Russell Wilson can upstage Flynn for the second week in a row. Wilson appears more dynamic in every way, but he’s also less experienced. I tend to think Wilson needs Flynn to stumble some for coach Pete Carroll to go with Wilson as the Week 1 starter. But few coaches appear as comfortable going young as Carroll has proven to be. Speaking of Carroll, he maintains that Tarvaris Jackson remains a candidate to start. That is a tough sell.
2. Terrell Owens’ debut. Carroll has said Owens will get into the game early. Owens has been gaining momentum in practice. He’s competing primarily with Braylon Edwards, who is coming off an impressive showing against the Titans. The Broncos counter with Champ Bailey and Tracy Porter at cornerback. Owens beat Bailey for a 91-yard touchdown in their most recent regular-season meeting. That was way back in 2005, when Owens was with the Philadelphia Eagles. Owens had three receptions for 154 yards in that game. He hasn’t played in an NFL game of any kind since 2010, however.
3. That other QB. The Seahawks practically begged Peyton Manning to consider Seattle as a free-agent destination this offseason. Manning showed no interest, even when the Seahawks’ leadership flew to Denver for a potential meeting. As a result, Seattle’s aggressive cornerbacks get a chance to measure themselves against an all-time great. |

Tru better hope he preforms well tonight, because the Nickel is he only position that's left he can play. We'll see, personally I don't see Tru making the team this year, he's older, he's had injury problems the past few years, and unlike the WR position our CB depth is pretty deep. _________________ Adopt-a-Hawk

Unless they like somebody else i think Trufant makes the team Thurmond can never stay healthy. _________________

Still early but I only see Bruce used in 3rd and long or passing situations on the edge so he can burst around the line without contact. Or find a lane up the middle but that gives the qb time. |

My bold prediction is; we will see the answer why Flynn should be our starting qb.
Have fun, looks like no watching the game for me. Keep your posts going during the game so I can read them and get the feel of what was going on. |

| Quote: | Notes
• TE Zach Miller will not play in Saturday's exhibition game after suffering a slight concussion last week.
• RB Marshawn Lynch did not appear in the exhibition opener, and might not play this week. Carroll declined to say what his plan is for Lynch's playing time in August.
• WR Sidney Rice has been cleared for contact in practice, but he won't play Saturday. |

I'm not going to be able to watch the game live either,(I live in California )
But, My plan is to listen to it online at 710 am ESPN Radio and watch the live game tracker on Nfl.com
and then watch the replay on The NFL Netowrk on Sun. at 8pm PST. _________________ Adopt-a-Hawk
