Technically he did. They put him on IR to basically redshirt him for next year.

To limit ourselves. 
Seriously, it makes no sense. Considering we can use players at other positions right now I think the FO is doing the wrong thing. David Thomas can play some FB if we need an backup one. And you would think since we go pass happy at times they would carry one.... but?

I know he contributes on STs, but I've never seen him make a play that hundreds of FA's that are still out there could make. If we are using a roster spot for a STer I'd rather it be a LBer or DB.
I don't get it.
