Great move and depth signing for the Steelers. One of the best young CBs that was available in free agency |
DVD sucks. One of the best young CBs on the market doesn't get passed by 32 teams and go unsigned for a couple days if they are any good. |

that or he waits for the right deal and situation for his talent. DVD won't start over Allen or lewis though. _________________

He's the 5th CB and will barely see the field.
I doubt he ever does much, but the dude has elite speed. From what I HEARD from some Raider fans, Rod Woodson vouched for him, and if Carnell Lake can coach him up even a little, he could be an asset.
Its a low risk/high reward type signing. Doubtful the huge payoff ever comes, but it doesnt hurt us to kick the tires one bit. _________________

| Nothing wrong with this signing if its merely for a #5 or #6 developmental CB. Sometimes you have to take chances. |

he's going to be a good player if he keeps adding muscle(added like 10 lbs in the offseason) _________________

He just needs to keep playing and gaining experience. Eventually he could become a solid cover corner but doesn't offer special teams value, which most teams look for out of their 3rd string corners. _________________

Muscle might help his awfulness at tackling, but I doubt it will help his cover skills. _________________ First jersey purchased: Jamarcus Russell.

I wonder if he'd be used as a safety in a Cover-3 deep zone? Could make good use of his skill and size. He's 6'2", isn't he? _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |

+1 He showed talent in man to man coverage as a rookie. He's still raw, but I think he's well worth keeping on as a 5th CB. _________________

Yup, good development pick. Although odd fit for the Steelers. Didn't seem like a corner the Steelers usually target for their scheme... _________________
