HA, try 8-7-1 |
I didn't even know something like that was possible...Hahahaha. Reid is a great coach, he made Mcnabb a pro-bowler and the dude didn't even know you could have a tie. _________________

He said the same thing back in January. It's nothing new. |

I think that Reid steps down after this season regardless of the team's record or any playoff success. The guy's been their coach for over a decade now and has had some tragedy in his family. _________________ Why, if it isn't my old friend, Mr. McGreg. With a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg. |

Reid won't have any problems finding a job. A shame he wasn't fired last year so the Rams could have got him. _________________

A better threat would be to put him on Weight Watchers if he doesnt beat 8-8. Disgusts me to hear a person who cant even talk without wheezing for air.
As for how the Eagles do. The team has had the talent for several years now. Is it a condemnation of the players or the coaches that they have been unable to gel into the dominating force that they should be? |

| I think Reid's a good coach but I can see the Eagles letting him go. He's been there a long time now and hasn't won them a superbowl or has gotten them close in a while. |

To say such a thing off the record is one thing.
To say it on the record, especially after having backed him in previous interviews is a whole different story. This is something that should have been kept in-house.
Reid is a good coach, but the NFL isn't like college, where player turnover is high and there is a known benefit to having an established name on the sidelines. This is the NFL, where big time players stick around, have bigger egos and bigger contracts than these coaches do. Sometimes, longevity can turn against you. The message and methods can grow stale. There's no point in having the long tenured coach if he's not delivering year in and year out. Smetimes you just have to shake up the tree and see what fruit will come out. _________________

I think Reid is a great coach, probably one of the best in the league but when I see stat lines like the one I saw yesterday that had Vick throwing the ball ~60 times I really scratch my head.
I didn't watch the entire game but I finally found my way around the dial to catch the end of this game, the Eagles were down by 6 and feeding Shady the ball on most every play.
What I saw was a well oiled running machine that easily moved the ball down the field and scored the winning TD.. what I apparently missed was an erratic Michael Vick and 50 plus errant throws?? What I don't understand is why it took over 3 and a half quarters to figure out they could win by running the ball vs passing the ball.. Its usually in the final minutes that you start passing the ball to come from behind and win, not running the ball. seems basakwards to me.. but what do I know. |
