This is a massive blow to the team. I was feeling so enthusiastic about this team after Sunday. Now I'm really worried. The difference in ability between Grimes and Owens/Franks is huge.
I think we'll need our new offense to carry us this year. |

If we can hold teams to FG's I think we will be fine defensively. I don't expect this team to be a lights out Ravens/Giants defense. Grimes loss will hurt but even with him we couldnt get off the field on 3rd down. Until this defense figures out how to get off the field on 3rd down the defense will struggle. I hope Nolan can create packages that will bring pressure from different guys that will help our CB's. The Defense is going to have to get creative in order to pressure QB's
You have got to get off the field when you can on 3rd down, because just like after a pitcher walks a guy in baseball then the inning turns into a nightmare, in the NFL when you let a team convert on 3rd and beyond 5 yards, they tend to gain momentum that is unstoppable. _________________

Does it really matter, they likely will never see the field. If they do we're screwed |

This is against Manning as well! |
I knew this was going to happen but it still fills me with dread. It's like watching a Friday the 13th movie. You know Jason is going to mangle and eviscerate everyone but it's still scary when it happens.
Maybe I'm just still jaded against Owens due to his abysmal 2010. He was a little better in 2011. But that doesn't mean I trust him, especially if he plays nickel. Maybe we can put him on the outside and bring Robinson down to the nickel. Then again, Robinson was pretty bad against Kansas City and McCluster so I think we're screwed either way. |

Do we have the cap room to make a trade for Mike Jenkins? He'd porbably be pretty cheap now that he's been pushed down to dimeback _________________ formerly MadAtFalcons |
