Not that he was particularly well-fit for the 3-4, but what's the bet Andre Carter finally gets that call he's been waiting for. Strong possibility Merriman may get one too, just for the sake of having guys with known hips capable of standing up to play.
I don't think there's any way to argue this isn't going to cause the Skins' pass-rushing to take a noteworthy hit, which means unless they play ball-control on offense they're going to be in A LOT of shootouts like we saw yesterday. _________________

Man, that sucks. The Rams could have two very high draft picks this offseason. And with it looking to be another good QB class, they could trade down and stockpile picks again. _________________

Carter definitely won't go back to DC after bombing in a 3-4 in DC. Merriman might be a choice, but he suuuuuuuuuuucks. (brings back memories of Charger fans saying how if Merriman hit FA, Snyder would be waiting outside his house with a 100+ million dollar contract at midnight). |

That's a brutal blow to the Skins this year. I've always liked both players a lot. _________________

The defense crumbled yesterday when they lost these two and Josh Wilson before the half. Hate to say it, but the defense will probably not recover from losing these two. Jarvis Jenkins can alleviate some of Carriker's lost impact, but he's better suited to coming off the bench at this point.

I honestly don't mean to laugh at others' expenses, but this made me
Bummer for these two guys. Wish them a full recovery. _________________

I thought that was Skins fans guaranteeing us that that would be happening (and that Shawne wouldn't sign an extension even if franchised because he knew that Danny would do such a thing for him and that playing in his hometown was that important to him).
Well hey, worst comes to absolute worst possible imaginable situation (i.e. hell truly does freeze over), Travis LaBoy's still out there looking for work. _________________

Our front 7 was the strength of the defense (as you saw in Week 1). We just lost key players in that front 7.
With this news, if your team is playing the Redskins and you cannot put up 30 points on us in the game. Something is wrong with your offense.
I agree we will be in shootouts all season long. _________________

Well you guys are playing the Bengals this week and we suck at the defense as well. Should be a high scoring game, which means in reality the score will be 20-17... _________________
