I don't know what Leberfeld did to "provoke" it. But he was taking a picture of Scott walking with a female reporter, can we drop this nonsense that Leberfeld was trying to take pictures of Scott in a changing room? Rolling Eyes

The New York Giants just won a Super Bowl. Before they won two Super Bowls in 5 seasons, they were given a lot of negative attention. The media was calling for Tom Coughlin to be fired during each of the Super Bowl seasons and determined Eli Manning to be a bust after 3+ seasons.

the only time that the Giants were a circus in the Coughlin era, it was in 2006 and it was not the fault of Coughlin

Since Rex Ryan with the Jets, Ryan wants media attention with its guaranteed, Tebow and etc.

My fav type of human being, the one who does what he wants knowing it's probably pissing someone off, and has the lawsuit threat loaded in his holster.

You're right. They don't do things like haze their own players or anything.

As for this story, from what it sounds the altercation started somewhat tame, with Bart Scott telling the reporter to "get a life". I don't particularly mind his reaction up to this point, since the story is that the reporter took an unsolicited cell phone picture of Scott while he was at his locker. Especially since Scott said he won't be doing media interviews. I do mind that it got to the point where they almost fought, though. Scott has to be smarter than that. He has to know the reporters really have nothing to lose and everything to gain in that kind of scenario.

Honestly, it's at the point where Scott is probably more trouble than he's worth. He's not producing on the field at a high level anymore, and it's more than likely his last year in NY.

I'm with you on this. Until I find out more, it seems like this reporter knows Scott is hot headed and is looking to push his buttons for publicity.
