Leave it to Dan Leberfield. "I have a life." Nice one, Dan. He's awful and it couldn't have happened to someone who deserves less sympathy.

It couldn't have happened to Cimini?

I don't know what Leberfeld did to "provoke" it. But he was taking a picture of Scott walking with a female reporter, can we drop this nonsense that Leberfeld was trying to take pictures of Scott in a changing room? Rolling Eyes

So people still think the Jets are a circus. Lol. The only circus is the media.

Pretty sure the New York Giants have that same media.... don't see a circus there.

The New York Giants just won a Super Bowl. Before they won two Super Bowls in 5 seasons, they were given a lot of negative attention. The media was calling for Tom Coughlin to be fired during each of the Super Bowl seasons and determined Eli Manning to be a bust after 3+ seasons.

the only time that the Giants were a circus in the Coughlin era, it was in 2006 and it was not the fault of Coughlin

Since Rex Ryan with the Jets, Ryan wants media attention with its guaranteed, Tebow and etc.

Honestly the Jets wth man. You can't focus

on football with all these off the field issues.

The Jets are an amazing soap oprah. What's next?

Sucks because those are some of the most passionate

fans I have ever met. My friend bleeds Green and white.

His whole house is all jets. Dude drops so much $$$$

It's not even funny.

I couldn't help but read this as a poem. Reminds me of e.e. cummings.

I'd bar Leberfeld from the locker-room and facility if he's purposefully instigating trouble with players.

My fav type of human being, the one who does what he wants knowing it's probably pissing someone off, and has the lawsuit threat loaded in his holster.

The reporter's courage is inspiring.

When Scott threatened to punch the Reporter, the Reporter should have come back with a "CAN'T WAIT!!!"

Probably would have been punched for that one Laughing

What's with Bart Scott and reporters when it's around Steelers games? First it was "Can't wait!" Before it, now it's a reporter debacle after the game?

Pretty sure it's different when the other guy is threatening to attack you.

Then you stand your ground and not back down. He should have never instigated it by doing things that were gonna get him mad in the first place tho. "dont start nothing and there wont be nothing"

You're right. They don't do things like haze their own players or anything.

As for this story, from what it sounds the altercation started somewhat tame, with Bart Scott telling the reporter to "get a life". I don't particularly mind his reaction up to this point, since the story is that the reporter took an unsolicited cell phone picture of Scott while he was at his locker. Especially since Scott said he won't be doing media interviews. I do mind that it got to the point where they almost fought, though. Scott has to be smarter than that. He has to know the reporters really have nothing to lose and everything to gain in that kind of scenario.

Honestly, it's at the point where Scott is probably more trouble than he's worth. He's not producing on the field at a high level anymore, and it's more than likely his last year in NY.

I'm with you on this. Until I find out more, it seems like this reporter knows Scott is hot headed and is looking to push his buttons for publicity.

Same guy. If another reporter is siding with Scott, I have to think the guy really had it coming.

Interesting.

I'd ban that reporter from all team facilities.
