Kent Somers@kentsomers
#azcardinals did agree to terms last night with RB Alfonso Smith. No corresponding roster move. Sign that Wells' toe might keep him out?
Beanie will probably miss some time. We should know more today. It'll be rough sledding with he and Sherman possibly out a while.
Could rely more on the passing game in the upcoming weeks. Kolb may have to carry this team.
UPDATE:
Via iRobot, Beanie Wells has been placed with the IR but able to return tag. _________________

Give William Powell a chance. |

Nah, I don't think our offensive strategy should change at all. I know Beanie's out and I know it looks like Sherman could be out but don't change what's been improving. Run Ryan Williams, get LSH out in space. That's your game. Do not start winging it 30+ times a game. |

I think Kolb is getting more and more comfortable in this offense, especially when we impliment the no huddle. I'd love to see more running out of the gun with Williams or LSH.
Quick, accurate throws 5-10 yards deep is what he's done well on as of late. Then lure the defense to sleep and hit a WR deep like last week with Larry.
The question will remain however, will the pass blocking continue to hold up? _________________

Bolded answer: No. One of the big reasons why our protection numbers look so good is we've drastically cut down on the number of pass plays we're running. Kolb threw what, 24 times last week? Add 10-15 to that and you're gonna see more hurries, more hits, more sacks and if the past is any indiaction, more anstiness in the pocket from Kolb which is doom for our offense.
Please Whiz, DO NOT change the offensive strategy now. It'd be disaster IMHO. |

No way Adams gets cut. 0.000% chance of that happening. |

I think it's fair to say next year will be Beanie's last as a Card. _________________

No way Kelemete gets cut, they cut McQuistan to sign Hall. Dray is possible as is Westerman. _________________

Looking at the roster I went with positions that had 4 or more players at the position. We have 5 CB, 4 OLB, 4 TE, amd 4 OG.
McQuistan was listed as a tackle so I got to think they have some faith in the current backs and Kelemete been inactive in every game I believe. |

We may have 4 listed at OG, but we currently have 8 OL on the roster. The only backups we have ar Kelemete, Potter and Orhnberger. No way we cut that further to carry just 7 OL on the roster. _________________

Thought something like this would be in the air with the pickup of another RB.
Powell likely to be active this week. _________________

Best thing to do. Let him get healthy and then come back full strength.
Still am praying we don't start throwing the football 35 times a game. |

This is disappointing to hear. Hate to see the team go without their best RB for half a season. Huge opportunity for Ryan Williams to establish himself and LSH should get more touches in the backfield. Powell will be active on gamedays. Wililams and LSH both need to stay healthy. _________________
