My main problem with him is he is more of a complementary receiver rather than a #1 guy. Chargers still need to find the successor to Vincent Jackson. |
How much have you actually seen him play? Floyd has low-to-mid-end #1 ability the knock on him is that he hasn't played a full 16 game season in his career; he's particularly capable of being a 1b option which is the highest any WR is going to ascend while Antonio Gates is on this team.
Maybe a subject for a different topic, but I think the notion of a "true #1 WR" has gotten horribly skewed these days along with the "necessity" for teams with great QB's have one. |
I agree with this. He's much more physical going after the ball then you would expect for a tall, lanky receiver.
Great deal for the Chargers if he can stay healthy... _________________

As others have said great signing by the Chargers. Floyd really is one of their better players on offense. _________________ Why, if it isn't my old friend, Mr. McGreg. With a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg. |

Malcom Floyd's older brother is named Malcolm Floyd, and he used to play for the Oilers in the mid-90s.
Just thought that was worth pointing out. _________________

Its true. His parents allowed Malcolm to name his brother, and he named him Malcom. |

Haha, thought that might push your buttons. It is an interesting tidbit, but I can imagine Chris Collinsworth's smug voice reciting those lines pretty easily. |
