|
|
|
After playing their worst game of the season the Cardinals will have just three days to prepare for a short trip east to the Edward Jones Dome to take on divisional rival the St Louis Rams.
Arizona will be wanting to make amends for poor performance on both sides of the football against Miami and will need to show up against a well coached Rams team. Arizona is on a seven game winning streak at the Edward Jones Dome and Coach Ken Whisenhunt has yet to taste defeat in the visiting lockerroom. The last time the Cards lost at the EJD they had Josh McCown starting at QB and Emmitt Smith starting at RB.
Arizona plays in their first of two nationally televised games this season and the defense will be hungry to prove to all the doubters that they are among the best in the league.
As all divisional games are this one will be close. Arizona swept the Rams last season, but needed big time PR's from Patrick Peterson in each (Worth noting Peterson has never not returned a punt for a TD vs the Rams ) Arizona needs to commit to the run, not allow Long and Quinn to pin their ears back against a poor tackle duo. They need to stay on track offensively and move the ball efficiently. If the offense can put up 23 points then Arizona should be well in the game, but putting up 23 points on offense is a big if.
Finally; God himself kicks for the Rams, good from 58 and 60 on Sunday.
Going to be tough to stop him on teams. _________________

Does he take any more time than a "normal" close kick on those long ones? If he does.. I think our teamers can get to the ball on a block.. MAYBE.
But yes, beast mode for a kicker lol |

You have yes as both options on the poll.
This is going to be a tough game for us, but at least St. Louis is coming off a short week as well. You nailed the key to the game already, stopping Long and Quinn from destroying Batiste and Massie. If we do that and come in with a better defensive plan than we had for Miami, we should be able to come out on top. The one issue is that it is never easy winning on the road, and despite the streak, this is going to be a tough close game. _________________

Bolded: While true, they won't lose any preparation time due to travel. We will.
We're gonna have a walk thru today and a walk thru Wednesday before getting on the plane. That leaves 1 real practice. |

Which leads me to this;
I think our coaches essentially did double duty last week getting gameplans and the like ready for this game and Miami. It might have left some holes in our prep for the Miami game. _________________

Should be a really good game. 2nd straight week we face a strong defense, gonna be a tough time on offense for us again. Hopefully Bradford has time and hits his groove. Think you guys will win this one but will be close 20-17, but if Bradford hits his groove who knows can turn into a shootout. Good luck and hopefully no big injuries in this one _________________

I think we'll lose finally. Rams are pretty solid at home and have a solid D, but it should be close. Hopefully Dockett plays.
Rams 19 Cards 17. |

With the string of games we've got coming up, we really, REALLY need to win this game.
Nevermind the fact that it's a divisional game. |

Should be a fun divisional game that comes down to one thing. Which team wins on the OLine. We're banged up not sure how your line is but both DLines are very good. Each secondary is talented, you guys more so with the Safties.
I look forward to it. This Rams team is unlike any we've seen since Martz took over as HC. It's very well coached.
Think the edge might come down to the home field and having to not travel on the short week. |
