Year 2 with the Broncos didn't go so well as Dredd failed to attain the starting job from Willis McGahee. Instead, Dredd focused on the return game, taking a total of 7 returns back for touchdowns, giving him an astounding 17 career return touchdowns in 2 years. As the backup runningback, Dredd racked up 276 yards and 9 touchdowns and 307 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns.

A reporter caught up with Daryck Dredd after the draft.

R: Hey Daryck, Congrats on winning the starting spot from McGahee.

DD: Thanks, man. Hoping to put up some heavy numbers this season.

R: We look forward to it. Did you see one of your teammates at Syracuse got drafted in the 1st round of this draft?

DD: I did, yeah. Pretty good friends with Splash Griffin. I hope he does well with the Cowboys.

R: He looks like he will do well at kr and pr because he ran a 4.3 and is only 5'9". Bet youre glad he didnt get drafted by denver.

DD: I'm the best returner in the league. Id like to see him try to beat me. Anyways, he would've been very impactful on offense. Shame we didnt get him.

R: Yeah.. Thanks for your time, Daryck.

Despite the fact that the broncos offense focuses more on the pass, daryck was able to break a multitude of nfl records in his third season, two of which are over 20 years old. Daryck broke Earl Campbells rush yards record, Jerry rices receiving yards record, and ladainian tomlinsons td record. The broncos grabbed hold of dredds success and rode it all the way to the Super Bowl, which the broncos won over te saints 17-16. Daryck was MVP after rushing for 220 yds on 17 carries and 2 tds and 48 yds receiving. Dredd was named MVP of league as well, and earned the same awards he did his first year, minus the rookie ones. Skip Bayless said this makes his season illegitimate.

The Broncos released Dredd after Dredd slept with the coach's daughter. He really needs to stop doing that.

Dredd decided to sign with the Patriots, despite the tempting offer to reunite with Splash in Dallas. Dredd was drawn to New England after discovering Zoltan Mesko was now starting over Tom Brady .

Shortly after signing, the patriots signed Tim Tebow. Wtf
