I saw that too and had to laugh.
What a story. 2010 was the year of the golden pitching staff. This was the year of personal redemption and perseverance. If you look at this roster top to bottom almost everyone had their own personal demon to work out. I truly think the reason we won this was not because of talent, but because our guys were not going to be denied. They had all faced more adversity then every team int he playoffs combined(might be hyperbole but I'm living in the moment). Then with the whole Melky controversy(bye bye Melky) and the Dodgers with a massive overhaul. I mean, this team could of just wilted at so many points but man did they stick it out. Just mind blowing.
Vogelsong-Not even in the MLB two years ago, can now say he was the best post-season pitcher of 2012.
Panda-Useless in 2010, injured earlier this year
Pagan-Lot of people started to think he might of lost it, playing on a 1 year contract.
Blanco-I'm not sure he was even in the MLB last year. Another utility player given an opportunity and took advantage of it.
Scutaro- Journeyman his whole career, once again taking the opportunity to put the team on his back.
Crawford-Highly criticized and almost demoted SS showing amazing defense and an infinitely improved bat.
Timmy-We all know. Hell of a rebound
Posey-Ditto
Zito-Ditto x100000 (Holy [inappropriate/removed], did he earn his contract this post-season)
soooo many feel good stories.

I love this team. This year's, I mean. I just love everything about it. So many great guys, great players, everyone doing their role to make us world champions. So much more from our offense than I've ever seen as a Giants fan, and those who didn't produce as much with the bat (Blanco, Crawford, Belt) doing wonders defensively. They way we've overcome any roadblocks in our path; Wilson missing the season, Timmy falling off a cliff, losing Melky, the Dodgers trying to buy the division title... not to mention being at death's door against both the Reds and Cardinals, just to come up against the best hitter and best pitcher in the game, and best them.
The characters, the beards, the .gifs, all the signings we've made who have come in and been gold (Scutaro doing more than the Dodgers' 3 combined ). This season is just magical.
