| Quote: | | @NFL_RealUpdates: #Rams have decided to allow RB Steven Jackson to void the final year of his contract, making him a free-agent following this season. |
Will we see the end of Jackson as a Ram or will he re-up with the team, hoping they can compete here shortly? _________________

| Really hope he stays in St. Louis. I've always enjoyed players who play thier whole careers with one team because it's becoming more and more rare. But it's business so I an inkling he's gone at the end of the year. |

Jackson is slowing down, that much is clear. Let him walk and get a chance to win a ring and help a team get that ring because its not going to be the Rams anytime soon. Can still be very effective but would be more effective with a legit timeshare. Sad to see such a talent just wasted away on such a bad team for so long. _________________

The offensive line is patch-work. Steven Jackson is still a very solid back not what he was in his prime but still solid. |

| Probably a good move for St. Louis. They must feel pretty good about Isaiah Pead i take it? |

I was going to say, this is actually a good move for the Rams....Jackson has slown down considerably and really is not a good fit for this team that is very young, and more than likely will not be in contention for a few years until SF runs its cycle.
Jackson I hope goes to a contender, he killed himself for this organization. Would be awesome if he could complement Ridley in New England. _________________

It's time. Jackson needs to go to a team with a strong passing attack and an OL that can sustain blocks. He doesn't have the burst anymore to play at a high level behind our OL.
If Pead doesn't show something, I'd expect the Rams to use one of our 3 picks in the first 2 rounds on a HB. Wouldn't mind Marcus Lattimore in Horns... _________________

Why would the Pats sign him? They have a good stable of young backs already and what looks like a future star in Ridley. There's is 0 need for Jackson. _________________

Woodhead will be gone and Vereen may not progress (I think he will but...) so that could leave us with Ridley and Bolden. _________________

Short yardage power back with very good hands? Who doesn't want that? _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |
