| I just watched The Five Year Engagement. I had been looking forward to it since it was directed by Nicholas Stoller, who did one of my top 20 films of all time, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and another solid endeavor in Get Him To The Greek. He certainly didn't let me down with this one either. I loved it. Several parts of it were laugh out loud funny and the humor remained consistent throughout. Jason Segel gave another very good performance, proving he's one of the top comedic actors today and Emily Blunt was surprisingly funny as well. Blunt isn't drop dead sexy, like a bunch of other actresses, but I must say, there is something about her that I find very attractive. In any case, this was one of the best films I've seen this year. Too bad it didn't do that well at the box office. People really missed out on seeing a good film. |

Saw Looper last night, it was pretty awesome.
Also watched Touch of Evil a few nights ago. Loved it, classic film noir. _________________

Last night I saw People Like Us. Fantastic film. In a year with some strong film fare, yet nothing that really "blew me away", this was hands down, my favorite movie so far, of 2012.
Chris Pine is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors in Hollywood and Elizabeth Berkley (already one of my top 3 actresses), gives the performance of her career. You also get stong supporting roles from Olivia Wilde, Michelle Pfeiffer and a child actor named Michael Hall D'Addario.
The story is pretty simple and straight forward, but very well done and the ending is just fantastic. This one is for sure, going in my top 50 of all time. I may even watch it again, before I send it back to Netflix. |

I mean, if you were going to pick a more serious/dramatic role, Everything Must Go is tops in my book.
Anchorman is in my top 10 all time fav movies. _________________

Also splurged and bought The Avengers on Blu Ray Monday. I ordered a pizza and drank Whiskey and Coke. Best night of my week so far. _________________
