Migs better win the MVP. Might not see another triple crown in my lifetime.
I think he should win MVP as well, but really Cabrera's stats weren't that amazing (all time wise). Heck Pujols probably had at least 5 better offensive years, but there was better competition so he didn't get the triple crown.
To be honest, it's probably Cabrera's third best offensive season. I think he was a little bit better in 2010 and 2011 than he was this year. It speaks to his amazing consistency more than anything.

Cabrera is still hitting .340 with men on base and .356 with men in scoring position. Each of those rank 5th in the MLB. That is very impressive.
It is what it is. All this sabermetric crap and newer generation thinking has crushed the real significance of the Triple Crown.
Oh well.
Us older folk can enjoy watching history.
I see the value in some of it but people are acting as if these guys are robots when you don't take into account the human element of having to come through with guys on base. A guy in another thread tried to say using HR's as a part of your argument invalidates it. What the hell?
This hasn't been done since 1967, and people are acting like it's not that big of a deal. Insane. _________________
