John Lackey.
Probably some non-prospect. _________________

I can't imagine they'd get a lot in return. Especially if it's true that there's some friction between Farrell and AA. I'd only be willing to send them a guy like Alex Wilson. _________________

Is that a euphamism for Jedi? _________________

Is that a euphamism for Jedi? | If AA told me he was actually a T-Rex named Hector, I'd believe him. Then I'd trade him my car for a half-empty pack of gum. _________________

Jays will probably get a top 10 prospect from this. _________________

AA has done a nice job dumping contracts. Far from extraterrestrial wizardry. |

The only possible scenario I'd imagine Farrell's contract was ever shipped to Boston would be if a legitimate prospect was involved. With that said, I don't envision anyone but Farrell managing the Blue Jays in 2013.
You can't just create a vacancy at a position on a ball club of maximum importance without a new candidate either realistically at the forefront, or a deep pool to potentially select from. At this point, neither is the case. Besides, there's no riff between Anthopoulos and Farrell. We've done everything imaginable to quell rumors we'd even consider letting him go to Boston and that shouldn't change. _________________

I, too, believe that Farrell will be managing the Jays next year absent a top prospect from the Red Sox and that sort of compensation will not be on the table, in my uninformed opinion. _________________

Im not entirely sure if thats true.
If Farrell was truly the Jays #1 choice they'd tell the Sox to F'off and be done with it.
I actually hope Farrell goes.
Then the Jays sign Francona
