After about a week of speculation, AD Shawn Eichorst has resigned and is expected to take Tom Osborne's place at Nebraska.
Edit: Eichorst starts at Nebraska October 9th as "special assistant to the chancellor." Starting salary $973,000 a year. He'll succeed Osborne January 1st 2013.
UM President Donna Shalala has appointed Blake James, Senior Associate Athletic Director, as Acting Athletic Director. _________________ TF713'sGreatestHits Texansfan713 wrote: | •I'll make a bet. If Herman leaves Houston after this season I'll never post on FF again

What is up with that picture...
BTW. Here's the speculation on campus since Eichorst resigned:
1. We are about to get hit with severe sanctions/Death penalty
2. If we win, we are about to get destroyed
3. If we lose, our sanctions will be slightly less severe
4. Eichorst hates the fact that Miami has no snow. |

I can't see that being a factor at all. |

Honestly, it's probably none of those. Nebraska is a bigger public school able to pay a ton more money. Sanctions may be involved in some capacity, but I'd imagine salary is probably a far bigger factor. _________________

Virginia Tech getting beat by UNC today is huge. VT and GT both have two ACC losses, UNC and Virginia both have 1, and Duke has 0. Duke and Virginia are playing right now, so there will be a loss tacked onto one of those teams. _________________ TF713'sGreatestHits Texansfan713 wrote: | •I'll make a bet. VT only has 1 ACC loss, but your point stands given I'm hard pressed to see them beating FSU or Clemson. _________________

You're right, I had a brainfart thinking Pitt was a conference loss a year early. _________________ TF713'sGreatestHits Texansfan713 wrote: | •I'll make a bet. If Herman leaves Houston after this season I'll never post on FF again
