One of his INT's was all on Marshawn. And as much as I wanted Matt Flynn in to start the season, I'm going to give Russell Wilson a real chance. 5 games makes decides a players career not. |
I'm not saying whether it should decide his career, but with the way this defense is playing, we need the best QB in there right now. This could be the season where we have a realistic chance a playoff run, but I guarantee that won't happen with Wilson at QB. Keeping him in there, essentially means blowing off this season. I'm not saying he won't be able to compete in 2013, but it's obvious he isn't ready to start now. |
Our playoff run will come next season, Once Bruce has a year under his belt and Bobby Wagner has the mental aspect worked out.
And once Russell Wilson learns to step into the pocket, he could be what we need to win a Superbowl. Keyword, could

He gets held, because opposing OT's just can't handle that type of speed. If Irvin developed some moves and improved his technique, he could be unstoppable. |
I agree. Once he gets his technique sorted out, he should be a 10+ sack a year player. |
He could reach 10 sacks this season, if he keeps it up. He's gonna have a good chance next week as well. New England is giving up a lot of sacks this year. _________________ "People say you should always do the right thing, but sometimes there is no right thing. That is true. We'll see how the 3rd down D goes though. I want us to hit Tom Brady quickly. |

I'm gonna have a rough week. Half my fantasy starters are Patriots (Brady, Ridley and Gronkowski). _________________ "People say you should always do the right thing, but sometimes there is no right thing. And then, you just have to pick the sin you can live with." -Ig Perrish |

As a few others said, this was an ugly win today. But every team has those, and its nice to come out on top after the Arizona and St. Louis losses.
Couple people bein hard on my boy wilson, but it's aight. He's lookin nicer every sunday.
Nice to be able to say "We have an Elite defense" without any conditions or details attached to it.
Good to be back in action as well, thanks SoS _________________

Afternoon mr delight!
The Defense was great again, which really mattered to me. And as long as the O IMPROVES (which we did with penalties and completions), I'll take it. |

Statistically, we are currently #1 in the NFL. _________________

Nice. We now know what the D can do with a decent pass rush. |

Quote: | Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson completed all 10 pass attempts for 141 yards and a touchdown when targeting receivers in the middle of the field, defined as between the yard-line numbers. He had completed 30 of 45 such passes for 282 yards with one score, three interceptions and a 63.4 NFL passer rating on those throws previously this season. |

Good to see you back Imani, even if I disagree with everything you say about Wilson. _________________ "People say you should always do the right thing, but sometimes there is no right thing. And then, you just have to pick the sin you can live with." -Ig Perrish |

A little 'stat compare' too chew on.
In Aldon Smith's first five games of his rookie year:
7 Tackles, 3-1/2 Sacks
Aldon Smith finished his rookie year with:
37 Tackles, 14 Sacks, 2 FF
and, In Bruce Irvin's first five games of his rookie year:
5 Tackles, 4-1/2 Sacks, 1 FF
So, What does this mean for Bruce's rookie year? _________________ Adopt-a-Hawk
Bruce Irvin= Sacks: 4-1/2, Tackles: 5, FF: 1
Golden Tate= Rec: 10, Yds: 144, Avg: 14.4, TD: 3 |
