The trade deadline is in three weeks - the Tuesday after Week 8. It'll be interesting to see what happens around the league with the later trade deadline - whether contenders will load up for SB run and whether also-rans will sell.
If the Boys can come out of this tough 3-week stretch at 4-3 or even 5-2, will JJ make a move? If the team is 2-5, does he become a seller?
Whatever JJ does, I hope he doesn't panic and replicate the team he made to land Roy Williams. _________________

What moves are there to even make? We all know that significant trades rarely happen in the NFL. Those luxuries are typically reserved for the NBA, NHL, and MLB. _________________

Trades didn't happen in the NFL because the deadline was after Week 6, when teams have played on 5 or 6 games. Now with a later deadline, maybe there will be more deals. That's one of the points that I made, but no one knows for sure. The changes to rookie contracts sure had an impact on compensation for moving up in the draft, so maybe the later trade deadline will see more deals. I don't expect any big deals, but there could be some minor moves, especially involving ageing veterans or soon-to-be FAs. _________________

Knowing Jerry, I doubt he becomes a seller. But, because of the $5M cap penalty next year, I don't think he will really want to buy unless if it's on the cheap or a player in the last year of a contract.
IMO, the time to make a significant roster improvement is BEFORE the season. It's tough to develop chemistry half way through the season. _________________ Quote from May 7, 2013...

On May 9th, 2013, Brian Price was waived by the Dallas Cowboys. |

| I think JJ is a little gun shy after the rwilliams trade. He might be a seller but I don't expect him to be a buyer, at least not a buyer for a so called superstar player.. |

I doubt if any moves are made with the Cowboys. Like others have said, my fear with Jerry is he makes a move for a big name and pays through the nose like the Roy Williams deal. _________________ Northland |

Trade Felix for a 7th....or a bag of nuts, either one would be more productive than he has been. _________________

Lol. At first I was looking at your sig, and thought 'verge' does that mean we are on the 'verge' of winning a superbowl or crumbling. Then I realized it was average. |

You're the first person to really get that. I've been waiting years. I think I love you. _________________

Who in their right mind would give up a bag of nuts for Felix? That's asking a lot. We may have to pay some team to take him. _________________ Northland |

Not with the injury issues at safety. Carr and Jenkins get as many reps there as McCray. _________________

Well, this is assuming we have a losing record by the deadline and become sellers. At that point, we should probably just tank for next season _________________

| Can we get a lineman from the 49ers, Falcons, or Texans? |
