NBC can show Sean but the team is prohibited from showing him on the JumboTron.

I love how any kind of abuse of power or authoritarianism is automatically relegated to Nazism.

Ridiculous.

Who cares anyway? This really seems like a non-story.

They don't want Payton to be celebrated. I can understand it.

sounds like a non-story to me too.

who cares if a suspended coach's face gets shown on a screen or not? who cares if the NFL says the home team cannot do it?

i mean seriously, who cares?

This seems pretty dumb, but if they were told not to do it then they shouldn't have done it.

GPG has a valid point, though.

He does. But then again... Nazism is about the last thing most still picked up during high school history before they started to nod off in class.

This NFL Payton JumboTron non-story is just the average politics and pr gaffe. I am just wondering how the NFL could really think that this would not get public?

It actually does make sense from the league's POV. They didn't want the crowd to rally around him and chant his name on national TV. They have an image to uphold, ya know.
