He was who we thought he was...
But this year, we didn't let him off the hook. _________________ Kickers are people too |

| I knew this would happen. Sophomore slump. What pissed me off so much was that people on here were already calling him a top 10 qb in the league after last year hahahaha |

And if we watched him last week and started a thread, what would we have said?
There is nothing to "figure out." He doesnt play the position any differently. He's having a bad game and a lackluster/inconsistent season. It happens.
And Ramster, if you come in here and say sophmore slump I swear to god I will reach through the computer and choke slam you. |
Will you sell tickets?
I want to watch.
As for the thread.
Who did we think he was. I thought and still do, that he is a young QB with a bright future. How has that changed after a bad game? _________________

Cam's playing fine I think. The issue is playing calling whether that's because of Cam's limitations or whatever is a very subjective guess. But we need to run more plays from under center. We did a lot this last year but we some how don't this year.
Even still we should have won the falcons game if not for a freak fumble. We should have won the game today if not for Williams blowing the game. Plus our offensive line is really overrated. But if we pulled out 3-2 for the season, Cam would relatively have the same stats but the outlook from everyone would be completely different.
The Panthers just need to find a way to win, period. |

| I think Cam and the Panthers have time to turn it around this year. He is still a very YOUNG QB and is still learning... Personally, if the Panthers want to trade, I would offer up several players and a #1 and #2 for him in a heart beat. |

You cant take stats seriously when most of them came from the team not being competitive.
Kinda like that last year campbell had with the redskins. Looked sexy in the stats but he wasnt. |

Umm, but the team was competitive last year and has been, with the exception of the Giants game, competitive this year. |

Cam wears the towel on his head because he's afraid when he throws in the towel, that too will be intercepted. ......... _________________

Whoa, cool your jets sparky. I know stats are the only thing you revolve around but Cam last year was playing head and shoulders above what he is this year. This year, the team took one Giant step backwards and it starts up top with the coaching.
I actually am a fan of Rivera even though he has allot he still can improve on, the first thing being, getting on our freaking terrible Coordinators and try and smack some sense into them, Especially Chud. I have never seen someone single handily waste this much talent on offense.
It's just so frustrating, besides the Giants, 3 of our losses are from a combined 12 points. The offense needs to stop trying to be cute and play some football. _________________

People are jumping on this bandwagon super quickly. Cam has lost three one score games. He has similar rate stats through the first five games of his sophomore season as John Elway, Drew Brees, Steve Grogan, Doug Williams, Phil Simms, or any number of successful QBs. And yes, I'm including his rushing TDs as touchdowns for Cam, because they are an aspect of his game.
Cam may not be having a great start to this year, and I truly hope he doesn't get psyched out, but I'm not selling low on a guy with the highest physical ceiling of any QB in football. _________________
