Rockets fans already freaking out about White and his disorder.
It's too early to say. I'd rather him deal with it during TC/Preseason than him dealing with it during the season. |
Hopefully White will be able to control his anxiety and be able to be a valuable member of the team. Dealing with anxiety myself, I know the feeling of feeling paralyzed and nervous when it comes to dealing with certain aspects of life. I feel bad for him and I hope that he gets the support he needs. Best of luck to him in overcoming his struggles. _________________

Royce White. Man....I'm rooting for that one. My good friend is a HOU fan, and I always bag on him but refuse to bag on this guy. _________________

NBA sources told FOX 26 rookie F Royce White met with Rockets today. Meeting went well. Will not report tomorrow but could in near future. |
That's good to hear. I'm going to keep praying for him and hopefully he joins the team soon! _________________

Saw some highlights from the inter-squad scrimmage yesterday, and Lin and Asik seem to have some nice chemistry already, with Lin making some sweet dish offs on fast breaks. Also Asik runs the floor really well for a 7-footer. _________________

Yep. I saw where Lamb shot over K-Mart.
I also heard Delfino was shooting lights out yesterday in his first practice with the team. _________________

Is there any question that our starting 5 is
Lin-Martin-Parsons-Patterson-Asik?
I think the real question is who r the other 3-5 guys in our rotation _________________

Yep. That seems correct. Only change I could see is if we trade K-Mart at the deadline then Lamb would be the starter at the 2.
As for the rotation, I think Douglas and Machado should compete for the backup 1 position in preseason, so that's one guy. We signed Delfino so he figures to be in the rotation as a backup 2 of 3. D-Mo will get minutes as a backup 5 for sure, and he will get some power forward minutes. I am not sure if McHale will play the rookies unless they win him over like Parsons did last season, although I think Lamb will get some minutes. If I was McHale I would have the rotation like this.
PG: Lin/Machado
SG: K-Mart/Lamb
SF: Parsons/Delfino/Marcus Morris
PF: Patterson/T. Jones/Royce White
C: Asik/D-Mo
Can't wait for tomorrow's game against the Thunder! This team is going to be so fun to watch. _________________

I freaking hate this new CSN Houston network. It's not even on Direct TV. Now I hate to get streams online to watch the games. SMH. Direct tv and CSN need to hurry up and get an agreement together. _________________

1st quarter vs the Thunder:
-K-Mart is playign excellent. He is getting to the line and scoring
-Asik has been a beast so far. Really running the floor which I like.
-Lin is being abused by Westbrook (Westbrook has 16 points in the 1st quarter), but is doing OK distributing the ball. _________________

2nd quarter:
-Rookies Lamb and Jones are ballin! No doubt they will be in the rotation this season.
-Delfino and Douglas is trash
-Marcus Morris has been good coming off the bench. It looks like he has lost some weight and he looks a little quicker. He really wants to play the 3. _________________

Terrence Jones a freaking beast. He took over the last 2 minutes of the 3rd quarter. It looks like he wants some minutes as a rookie! _________________

Ya just saw both the put back dunk and the pull up three on top plays this morning. That 3 looks awfully smooth. Man im pumped about this team, minus Lin's horrible D. _________________

In fairness to Lin this was his first game action since his injury and westbrooke pretty much does that regardless of who is guarding him _________________

Yep. Said the exact thing yesterday to a friend. Lin even said that his knee wasnt 100 percent. My guess is that he wasnt even trying to score the ball or penetrate. He was just trying to distribute the ball, and he did a good job doing that. Not to mention Westbrook was hitting some tough shots. He was just on yesterday.
I still think we need a backup center because we are going to get KILLED when Asik is on the bench. Especially our rebounding. _________________
